I'll be blunt, everything is offensive to someone, you can't police subjectivity; stop this asinine bullshit.

Haven't watched it but based on the reactions I will just to see for myself what the hub bub is about.

If you had such a strong reaction to it, it has to be a well done scene and story. It put me in mind of Erased from last year, the whole tale is about the abuse and murder of a little girl and it was a hell of an emotional rollercoaster that made me uncomfortable, sad, angry, elated, joyful, the whole gamut and I walked away with one of my favorite stories of all time (yes Erased was 10 out of 10 territory for me).

I can't say that this situation is not worth viewing because some react so poorly to it. To me, the twins in Black Lagoon were some of the most disturbing moments in that series from their back story to their end. Horrible, but important in regards to showing it's effect on Rock. Bad things happen, of course we watch anime to escape, but not everything can be escapism. Sometimes, the best stories are a reflection on what is happening and showing you with no filter.

Sucks it harshed your buzz, but saying they have no place on Crunchyroll is just wrong thinking. We all have different levels of revulsion, perspectives, etc. and one person's opinion should not dictate what others can watch.

I could conclude, Anime is best for Japan. Too many problems are raised when brought outside it.

Easily-brainwashed good kids would already be sleeping when most teen-adult targeted anime are broadcasted in Japan, due to how society works.
Any bad thing in anime is solved with common sense. Proper education from parents and school can easily reach the fact that Fantasy=/=Reality.

Sure there are exceptions everywhere, but that is like saying that a kid may commit murder because he read a detective book, bought from a family friendly bookstore. Or I might kill someone because I bought a kitchen knife.

These may not sound on the same level for you, but it is for many in Japan.

That's what I was thinking too, but I'm only one episode in on Alice and Zoroku and wanted to see the scene at issue - in context - before making a detailed comment.

From that one episode, I'm thinking A&Z looks like it will make specific contrasts between what we think is good and what we think is evil. I am predicting that this organisation that experiments on little girls is doing something like, idk, curing cancer or regenerating spinal tissue or fixing global warming.

So yeah, we have all these little girls held prisoner and we're starving them to keep them from getting away, but look at all the thousands of lives we're saving by... um... torturing and enslaving children. Is that so wrong? No, really, like... if your grandma was sick, you'd kidnap little girls and give them drugs to save her, right? Why are you looking at me like that?

That seems like my idea of a good show.

It does.

Then it becomes about do the ends justify the means and some of the best discussions take place around that very topic. If the result is positive, then isn't the evil we do now justified if the result is for good.
The gray area stuff is always best.
