I want to know the algorithm that I can apply to 3D data and I would be able to recognize the objects inside. For instance if I use a laser scanner for my room to generate a 3D data chunk and the object is separated either by its fluorescence reflection or edges. So for instance if I found an object with many pages I would recognize it as a book, if I find a chair object I would recognize it as a chair and so on. Is there an algorithm for me to do this?

Something like this web page https://www.iosb.fraunhofer.de/servlet/is/20835/

It is even better if it is an Opencv program I can work on. Thanks

I think a Convolutional Neural Network would work well for that kind of problem.

Also see Tensor Flow, for a NN support and acceleration framework to help implement it.

Hi, I actually posted this in the OpenCV forum and they suggested point cloud (PCL) method to map the data. To be honest I am a bit losing faith in the DNA technology. One is the experiment that must be performed on the living organism. The other is performing the actual age reversal, reverse in size, bone density, etc, seems like a rather hard approach. Best you get is probably reversing back to age 30 and stay alive at that where your body size would not change. Reversing back to age 8 is hard, there is not currently a "reverse growth" method. In comparison the digital immortality aspect seems much easier to do, but living in another medium is something I cannot even imagine, if artificial consciousness is built then I would be more confident about it. Even then I would not know what living in a medium is like until I am actually in there.

Errrr.... what?
What on earth do: DeoxyriboNucleicAcid , Living organisms, Age reversal, and artificial consciousness have to do with anything?
Super confused here.

A point cloud would be a good way to structure the data for your recognition algorithm though.
