Encouraging people to seek salvation, apparently.

A 20+ year old classification of an issue that experts didn't know nearly as much about as they do know? Well I'm concinced for sure.

Oh wait, no I'm not since ICD 11 will remove that classification of transgenderism as a mental disorder and more accurately reflecting scientific consensus.

I might agree with the message, but that method of sending it ... ewwww. That was not good or funny or effective.

What was the message? All I got out of it was that they were reenacting south parl muh vajayjay jokes that Cartman uses.

I had to quit at about 20 seconds into the performance. My cringe circuit tripped and I couldn't watch anymore. It wasn't even good music...

Science is heavily politicized these days.

Well, I went back to rewatch to make sure. I think it's pretty well summed up at 1:58

"Sex how you want
It's your goddamn right
"

And the repeated phrase throughout, "Much more than Either-or or, or" presents the idea of not everything being binary when it comes to sex and sexuality so just chill out and don't force it to be.

And with that I have already spent too much time on a truly cringe-inducing performance in the name of pop-culture-science. I'm going to go wash my brain of the bad lyrics, bad singing, bad dancing, and bad costumes.

:(

It's updated annually. Not 20 years outdated.

Here's the ICD-11 classification:
Gender Incongruence of Adolescence and Adulthood is characterized by a marked and persistent incongruence between an individual´s experienced gender and the assigned sex, which often leads to a desire to ‘transition’, in order to live and be accepted as a person of the experienced gender, through hormonal treatment, surgery or other health care services to make the individual´s body align, as much as desired and to the extent possible, with the experienced gender.

Not sure about heavily. People will accuse the other of bias to further their point. Just as news call themselves news, nor are a great deal of pop science shows and documentaries being nothing more than superficial analysis arriving at perfunctory answers.

Tis the problem. Some are trying to popularize the truth to a mass that does not want to hear it, or you are saying a lie, under the guise of science, for cash.

Some, like Wakefield's study, try to do it within peer reviewed academia, where you have people Like Mehmet Oz and Dr Phil peddling their crap on live TV.

You know what's possibly the most depressing? I mean, apart from the willful ignorance? The fact that they can't just use their brains and have enough sense to see it's mental illness and insanity. Without an expert declaring it so, there are actually people who would not deduce on their own that there is something wrong and harmful going on.
