Excluding Hellsing Ultimate and Baldr Force EXE they are all on animelab. So it isn't like Australians super miss out. For the most part only shows that none of the Australian distributors wanted them that they will be on here as part of the CR X Funimation partnership. Example Baldr Force EXE.
But there will be some exceptions here and there though I consider them to be special.

Hellsing and Hellsing Ultimate should probably have the age wall up. There's buckets of blood, as well as

You're aware that this has nothing to do with CR right? They got these from Funimation. CR got whatever rights that they had.

Is Baldr Force Exe a simulcast? There's only 4 episodes uploaded (don't fancy trying part of a season - same with hellsing ultimate)

As for the reason for the difference, these were not all licensed at the same time.

Because everyone loves starting a book 5 chapters in, wondering what the hell is going on...

Awesome. Baldr Force.

I loved that series, despite it being so short.

Would of been nice to see a localised all-ages port version of the game (although that might involve cutting out a crap load of the story.)

Yeah ... it's a justified complaint, though people should remember to direct the complaint to the Japanese licensor and to Funimation. Indeed, most effective would be to hop into a time machine and complain back when they were negotiating the original license.

On Crunchyroll's side, their policy is to show everything they have the rights for, even if there are bizarre gaps in some regions ... figuring that with a choice between some and none, some is better.

Any fellow Finns thinking about crossing the puddle for anime?

I'm feeling like license people think that Finland is some sort of ice cream lake or something.

And that is not an accident ... Madman was picking up exclusive Oz/NZ rights from most of Funimation's licenses, or picking up direct Oz/NZ rights when Funimation was not required to pick up all English Language Countries ... and the cross-distribution deal cannot change contracts that were already signed and in place at the time that the cross-distribution agreement was reached.

From the licensing that was being one, it seems like the Japanese thought Finland was in Eastern Europe.

Back in the days of physical disk distribution, it didn't matter so much for countries that did not have their own disk distributor ... an export order could still be shipped by a mail retailer from London (or wherever), even if the buyer was not in the countries that the disk distributor had licensed. Then when streaming started, it became clear that many Japanese ideas of licensing regions were a bit ... off.

It was probably mostly Crunchyroll that changed that over time, as they responded to ongoing complaints from Finnish and Danish members by continuing to press for those rights in negotiations. But what Crunchyroll was asking for didn't affect Funimation's region request until after the cross distribution deals were signed, so in the period when Funimation was getting handed Nordic rights as part of their English Language rights, it looks like a lot of these contracts were signed where Finland is not in the contract's definition of Nordic rights.
