Sometimes, particularly lunch which tends to be simpler to eat. Kinda helps picking up little snippets of Japanese so I don't have to be fully engaged to follow along.

It just occurred to me, how do veggie chips even make sense? They're made of potatoes, they're veggies to begin with.

Its for people who want to believe they are being healthy.

As long as I'm not eating with other people, pretty much all the time, and the food can be anything, from small snacks to big meals. It's just too boring to eat by yourself not doing anything!

I don't understand Japanese, so if I want to understand it I need to read it, if I'm eating then it's mostly light snacks or something

I guess it helps to be a fast reader, I can eat meals and follow subtitles fine

Yeah like others have said, if you're watching it subtitled its too hard to watch anime and eat. Except for munchies and snacks like pocky n stuff.
But when i want to actually eat meals i watch stuff like a tv series or something while i eat.

Following subtitles while eating takes a bit of practice but it's not impossible. I'm not a very fast reader because English isn't my first language, but I see enough words of a sentence to make sense of it, from watching so much anime I even know some words from Japanese so there's more to build with. Finally there's context, a lot of dialogue is repeated in anime anyway so you can pretty much guess what they're saying anyway.

I NEED THOSE!

A friend gave some to me, he got them in Austria. I've been searching for those ever since, they're not sold in my country

They are sold in a asian supermarket here, however if you really need them you can order them on Amazon, 24 for 18 dollars.

I'll try to order, but I doubt they ship here. Few items on amazon can be shipped here. But thanks for the tip.

Sounds like a typical neet or hikikomory lifestyle
