Got me a new 48" 4K TV for my man cave Wed night . After hooking everything up I was greeted with studdering & dropped frames when I stream now ! This only does it on the CR website . Never done this on my 1080p TV it replaced . The video card is a MSI 750ti 1gb card that does support 4K (right now @30hz , ordered new DisplayPort cable) . Now that card won't game @4K , but it should stream just fine according to MSI . Funimation app works fine , Netflix & YouTube also purrs along (4K has to buffer some , 20M down speed) . However , I installed the app & it does work , but hesitates on loading the shows . Why only CR has this issue ? When the new cable comes in I'm going to swap out the 750ti for a 2gb 760 that's in my living room HTPC . It'll get the 750ti , it's a 1080p . Just weird .... BTY , I got the TV at Fry's Electronics on special for $249.00 bones . Silo brand that suppose to use a Samsung panel ...

Hmm I don't think is a problem of crunchyroll's website, is not like they stream 4K yet (or do they?). I think that you should review your system's configuration, because if you stream fine with one monitor, then you should stream fine with the other.

I'm having a similar set-up. 4K TV, HDMI, 60Hz, as second screen. Not experiencing any lag during playback.

i'm inclined to think the problem is not with your pc or internet connection (and certainly not an issue with CR), but rather the low quality 4K TV, especially given the poor rating of their 42'' 4K on Amazon and since you never experienced such issue with your previous TV. apparently some of Silo's TVs even suffer from light bleed due to poor build quality.
silo isn't exactly a well-known brand, and they need to cut costs somewhere to sell for a cheaper price. maybe the internal processor that does the upscaling to 4K just isn't very good on the Silo TV.

edit: it's been suggested that you play with the settings on the TV to see if any option is causing the stutter. maybe an option like blurmotion, cinemotion, etc is turned on and causing the stutter - if you find such an option, try turning it off.

I saw the reviews on the V-1 sets , this one is V-2 (4 HDMI ports @ 2.0 vs 3 ports @ 1.4 ) . It's possible since the current hookup via HDMI is at 1.4a , not 2.0 at the video card . I have a DisplayPort version 1.2 cable to HDMI 2.0 / 2.2 HDPC cable coming in Monday & I'm going to swap out the 750ti with a 760 2gb card w/DisplayPort 1.2 on it . It will give 4K @ 60hz instead of 30hz . Haven't had any bleeding over so far . When using my set-top box for my Digital TV I get a great picture @ 1080i . Netflix streams fine as well as the Funimation app . It's strange that the CR app will stream just fine , after the initial lag of starting the show . I'll let everyone know Monday night after all my goodies are installed . I'm leaning toward the card's 30hz 1.4a HDMI spec . Too bad that card doesn't have a DisplayPort like the 2& 4gb cards had .

Swapped the cards today , helped but not solved issue completely . Played with different settings on the TV (turning off the fake surround helped with the tinny sound) . Now the cable won't arrive till' Thursday next week ....bummer . Guess I'll just have to use the app for now . None of my other services are affected like this though . Also strange that the audio sounds like it's slightly sped up at times too .

I already looked for the setting yesterday & couldn't find it (may be hidden behind the greyed-out advance features) . The Vizio it replaced had it & available in 3 levels . I kept it at medium on it . I need to invest in a decent sound bar or get a coaxial to toslink converter to use my wireless headset properly (don't like the analog sound) . I'll get it worked out (eventually , I hope ) ! Edit : I personally like running the Truemotion on my 65" TV anytime I'm watching a CGI-heavy anime or movie . Gives it more "pop" , like a poor-man's 3D . Knights of Sidonia looks great with it on . Regular TV shows & movies , nope . Don't like the soap opera effect .

Wait for the cables, and hope they are rated 4k otherwise you'll get choppy performance. Old 1080p cables can't handle the data rate.

The cable coming in is (DisplayPort 1.2a to hdmi 2.0) . Only way to get 4K@60hz on the 760 . However , if that was the problem how come non of the other sites are affected by this , only CR ? Maybe because they are still on Flash while everyone else has moved to HTML5 ? YouTube (Edge & IE 11 & Win 10 App ) , CR & Funimation apps and other "adult" services all run just fine . The audio to lip sync is also affected . At least the app works , just can't read or post comments after episodes .

Cable came in today , 1 day early (yea post office !) . Installed it & windows did an update for some reason ( guessing the DisplayPort triggered it) . I had to manually change the setting from 30hz to 60hz (no biggie) and then rebooted just in case . Loaded CR up thru IE 11 as usual and...was greeted w/same issue . . So after much searching online I turned off hardware acceleration in the flash player settings . It helped quite a bit but it's still there . This really makes no sense to me ...

Well for grins today I hooked up my old 3D gaming pc to the TV via the same DisplayPort cable . PC has the same 760 2gb card , 8gb of ddr2 ram & a Q9550 o/c to 3.6ghz (old Cpu still rocks) . Finally got Win 10 working on it so I loaded Edge browser up , fired up Konosuba up & still got the audio out of sync issue , but not as bad (me thinks the extra ram helped) . Loaded up the 4K video I downloaded & it played just fine . So I hooked the other one back & reran the 4K video & it ran it just fine thru Windows Media player but not the Web9 player (strange) . I give up right now...

This is just a guess but upscaling 1080p to 4K can be pretty resource intensive. Crunchyroll's web player isn't really known as being well engineered. I would run GPU-Z (https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/) and see if the GPUs are bttle necking it. Also, for testing I would drop the display resolution to 1080p and see if the playback improves.

I run Msi Afterburner in the background . It shows 100% gpu usage at max , but the graphs shows differently . It's only spikes to max , but it's not a smooth usage The Cpu is the same . I'll try dropping the resolution to see tonite . I thought about this before , but didn't want to mess up my other settings . Sad that this is the only site I have trouble with . Even the CR app is a little wonky for it . At least it works just fine on the Xbox 360 Slim , but only 720p . Maybe they need to up it's player to 1080p . It can handle 1080p just fine .

Dropping the resolution from 4K to 1080p did fix the issue . However , why is it only CR that's affected by this when the resolution is set to 4K native ? Maybe I'll do a "Go Fund Me" to get money for a newer HTPC build !
