"Each exhibit pairs a Kemono Friend character with their real life counterpart. Grape-kun, a 20-year old penguin, literally fell in love with Hululu, who is a Humboldt Penguin character.

Japanese visitors noted that Grape-kun would spend every minute staring at, sitting next to, or praising Hululu as if she was a breathing mate. He was even neglecting the rest of his flock just to be with Hululu. The penguin was dedicated!"

Being an otaku is not really a good thing. It's bad. It's being an obsessed fan and it's very unhealthy. Otakus are problematic in Japan. A lot of them are perverts with mental issues. I don't understand the fascination with being sick in the head.

I dont understand It either.

A great deal of the stigmatization lies with the older generation, which use Otaku in its original, pejorative sense. However, it should be noted that watching anime is a stigmatization for some people nevertheless, and that regardless of the wording, it is activity that is looked down upon in itself, believed to lead into addiction.

It seems to be a hyperbole with a retaking of the word, or just generational difference slowly being eroded for the newer interpretations. Nerd itself was consider a bad term and a good term, much like how the stereotypical jock uses it in a term of derision while others declared their proud stance of their abilities. It may be no different than being denounced as being into Rock and Roll during its time.

I am not quite sure. It seems to have gotten less negative, but maybe the Japanese youth do not care how the elders have used it.

Otakus are a disease and the Japanese government does not like it. They commit a lot of murders due to high predatory intelligence. Most murderers in Japan are Otakus. These evil genies and geniuses get away with it a lot.

Enough already. A couple of remarks about otaku are fine, but if you keep going on and on that way, in a thread that is clearly intended to be just a bit of fun, it will be considered to be derailing the thread.
