I just wanted 30 days free premium from a youtube video, I don't want to put in a credit card, I have no access to one. Why do I have to put in credit card.

Typically those codes are for 30 day trial subscription promotions, they are not 30 day guest passes or gift cards. Since you actually are signing up as a (trial) subscriber, they need a card (or PayPal or iTunes) for payment for if you do not cancel before the end of the trial. That's how promotions and trials work.

Also with the card, they can kind of tell if you've ever used a trial in the past and you wouldn't be eligible for another one.

If you sign up and cancel in time before the 30 days is up (I wouldn't wait until the very last minute...), then it doesn't cost you, thus "free".

If you cancel right away (after 24-48 hours, actually) then your trial would cease immediately upon cancellation, as you have effectively said, "I tried it, and I didn't like it".

Well, I have a visa prepaid, but I don't have enough money for a "Free trial". Welcome to 2017. Someone gives you a 8 dollar item for free, but you must have 8 dollars. Not pay them, just own 8 dollars.
