Whenever I start the Crunchyroll app on the Wii u it reaches the startup with the dots and then it just errors to "Unable to connect to Crunchyroll Servers" but I'm able to watch it on my PC no problem. I've had this problem for a couple days now. I've tried reinstalling crunchyroll, reconnecting to the internet on the wii u and reseting my router. Still no dice =(
Any solutions?

Ive got the same problem and tried doing the same things you said, and no luck here either. connects to the internet just fine I can access crunchy roll from its browser but it has no flash player so no vids. so I know it works has to be app issue or on crunchyroll I'm guessing but any fixes would be more than welcome.

can you connect to the internet through wii U? are you able to browse the internet with wii U? if you can, it's probably a bug with the app.
if you can't, it was suggested that you turn off wii U, unplug the connection, and then remove the battery.

I'll quote what I posted in another thread.

At least it's not only me. I've been having the same problem since yesterday. Start the Wii U app, it loads, then it stops with the error 'Unable to connect to crunchyroll servers. Please check your internet connection. If problem persists, please go to crunchyroll.com/ help for help.' without showing the list of anime. All the other streaming apps on the Wii U working and the android app and website for crunchyroll are work with the same internet connection. So please fix this soon thank you.

PS: Also, if you would please develop a VRV app for the Wii U that would be fantastic!

I have also deleted and redownloaded the whole app.

Same here. Reported it yesterday. Nothing has been fixed yet.

I also did everything suggested in the help section which was to turn it off and on again, checked my connection and everything works but not Crunchyroll. I also uninstalled it and reinstalled it and nothing.

Yeah I wasn't able to get the Wii U app to work yesterday so I resorted to watching on my tv and had to figure out how to mirror my screen from my S7 to my 4k/Blu-ray player. Anyone having trouble still or know if the issue has been resolved? I don't wanna set my game system back up in my entertainment room just to get the same message. I imagine the reasoning behind it could be more than just a bug. Maybe with VRV having been released, Crunchyroll might be getting less work put into it or at least for the Wii U app. I really don't know. I just want an explanation...

I've had the same problem since last Thursday too. Reported on the following Friday, but the problem was never resolved. I hope that crunchyroll decides to either address the problem or even better fix it, and not ignore the Wii U like Nintendo did, and only focus on the other systems for their app....

Yeah foreal, the Wii U isn't dead yet. They still release games onto it and things. But if they put the Crunchyroll app and hopefully the VRV app on the Switch asap, I'll be fine. Idk about you guys haha
