It's foolish to barge into a group of kids throwing a loud, obnoxious party regardless of what race they are. Precisely because you don't know what substances they may be abusing, what the backgrounds are of the people you're confronting, and what one of them may do in front of their peers. Illustrated quite well by the one asshole who tried to pick the woman up, slipped, and then pushed her sprawled on the ground into the pool. Trying to pin that behavior on a particular race is baffling to say the least https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nO1p64u4qx8

Are you seriously trying to compare actual kids playing around a pool to a 20 something year old man slamming an older woman on her head, then throwing her possibly unconcious body and her dog whose leash was still wrapped in her hand into a pool?

Are you seriously going to ignore the point that kids act like assholes, especially in a group? Or that young adults are just as immature in that setting, especially if they've been drinking/smoking/etc? Yes, I'm going to compare behavior all immature assholes engage in across all spectrums of race and age bracket, because barging into a loud party there's a good chance you're going to run into at least one asshole.

Yes, well, we all knew exactly where this thread was going based on who started it and if someone didn't they haven't been on the forum long enough.

This would make sense if we were talking about kids and not adults. And if they were drunk or high that makes it even worse
It also sounds like you're assigning blame to the woman for 'barging' in on a bunch of supposedly high/drunk 'kids'.

I'd like to see what led up to this and what her association with the property is.

I watched the youtube link, and am confused. I didn't see a single black person in the picture or in the news room so where is your comment coming from? If anyone beats up on an elderly person, i'm positive it has more to do with their piss poor morals than any contrived superficial notions.

As we are all on the medium of crunchyroll I'll just point out that in japan the elderly are treated right and with respect; this is taught early on. In america it's just not so. America teaches an eye for an eye, that if you're on my property I can shoot you (as if that's a good reason to kill someone regardless of the case.. it's nice almost dying because you made a wrong turn and used their drive way to try and turn around for all of 6 seconds) and America teaches that if someone disagrees with you that you can't ever get along or come to an understanding and that when someone is hurt you should point and laugh or mind your own business or be labeled an "sjw" or at least this is how the country seems lately anyway (but I digress).

Failure to relate is the biggest issue in my opinion. When the old and experienced shirk their duties to society in order to be selfish and self serving, everyone suffers. No I am not saying the victim or the elderly in general are at fault, i'm saying that you, right now because you see and do not act NOW, that incidents like this happen. Young people are impressionable and even just being nice and saying "hi" once in a while could be enough to keep them from shooting up a classroom like a psycho. I know i've really gone off on a tangent, but labels are things WE make up, and the reality is, if you put a little bit of effort into just being a little nice when you don't need to, if you just hold back that anger that you drummed up because you watched a bunch of news but didn't actually speak to the actual people or get to know them to see if from their point of view they have a a completely legitimate point...

Well i've gone far off the point but basically there's too much hate in the world, and the easy solution to solving it eludes us because we just don't want to. I challenge anyone reading this to find a young person that you see often enough, and just find out there name and say hi to them when you can. don't be all pedo-llike and weird of course, if you can't read the mood it won't help, but just try doing a little and you'll be surprised how much things change for them, for you and without you realizing it, the world.

Do you seriously want me to pull up a video of white college kids throwing each other in a pool? I'm assigning responsibility for barging into a party with a hostile attitude and zero preparation for someone acting foolish on the woman, that doesn't excuse the kid (and I'll keep calling him a kid because I choose to keep calling immature twenty somethings kids) for committing assault and potentially manslaughter. Any previous history with the property or kids is likely going to strengthen the argument that she should have lodged a noise complaint with the cops and let them handle it.

I mean, you can, but it will likely still be a false equivalency, unless you can find one that directly mirrors this video with the races reversed.
100% positive a video like that would've got a few weeks of CNN showing the video every day with the headline "This is Trump's America" or something ridiculous like that.

I don't need an exact mirror with races reversed to prove that young people of all stripes are capable of being assholes. But hey, it only took til page 2 for you to drop the dog-whistle act.

LOL.

Unlike runec's recent spurious accusations, THIS is *actual* victim shaming.

You are both literally blaming this lady and saying she was "asking for it" by approaching this party.

I don't give a shit what they might have "been on", the assailant is responsible for their actions, and should be held to account.

Seems to me there was a pretty big story in the news just yesterday about stupid white college kids being charged with manslaughter. >.>

As for this video in particular there doesn't appear to be any information on who, when, where or how as of yet. Far back as I can find is a Liveleak upload with no details or explanation aside from it happened somewhere in the States.

You kinda do. I mean, you posted a video of actual kids playing to compare it to someone nearly getting killed by a grown man.
On top of that you blame her for 'barging in' to a place she had just as much right to be at as they did. Kinda low if you ask me. Would you use a similar argument if another attendee had been victimized due to being in an incapacitated state? "Shoulda known not to go to parties where bad stuff can happen!"

Exactly! clearly this young black gentleman was just trying to give this woman a hug. unfortunately, he slipped while holding her up in the air in a bit of a overly enthusiastic bear hug and they both tumbled to the ground. as you can see in the video, the ground at this particular social event was quite dirty, so he took it upon himself to assist the good lady in cleaning herself off after their unfortunate tumble ( as any gentleman would do)
nah but seriously screw these idiots. what a bunch of classless jackasses
