In respect for peeps who haven't seen the movie yet, please avoid spoilers.

Overall I thought it was a well done sequel to the first Guardians movie. The jokes fell a bit flat in the beginning and the setup was cheesy as anything, but over the course of the movie that's just part of the charm. The entire cast appears to be having fun throughout the picture, and it becomes infectious as things fall into place in the third act, before a surprisingly poignant moment that's highlighted by the earlier cuts of snark whenever something threatened to become too serious. The visuals this time around were particularly impressive, at times rivaling Dr. Strange for just how trippy and technicolor things could get.

The character formula feels quite a bit like Konosuba for the MCU, a cast full of lovable idiots bumbling around and finding themselves forming an impromptu family. Actually, I wouldn't be the least surprised if one of Groot's lines translated to Diesel's lines about family from the Fast and Furious franchise.

While maybe not quite as fresh as the original, Guardians rolls on to their next questjob.

With the timing and all it's obvious you are referring to the second one but just seeing the title is a little misleading. Should of added Vol. 2

I would agree with you on most points. It did feel (especially early) that they were trying a little too hard on the jokes and felt really forced, but you get numb to it and just enjoy the movie. The visuals were spectacular. My main beef is even though the movie doesn't care to take itself seriously and that's part of the enjoyment, it did feel like a major momentum killer was when (to avoid spoilers) 'pacman' showed up is all I will say. Still an enjoyable movie non the less.

(Although what was up with that last Stan Lee bit at the end of the credits? Didn't feel clever or funny or anything, should of just left it at the little tribute during the movie)

Not any real spoilers but still:

Yeah, I'll see if a mod is kind enough to change the title.

And the finale did feel a bit draggy, if only because there were no real surprises. The moments where it was obvious "oh, a trailer scene" in particular just didn't have the punchy tempo thanks in plat to there being few surprises around them.

*Thanks to whichever mod edited the title!

I loved it but what topped it off for me was when they included this song because anyone who knows very knows I'm a fan of this band. Funk is everywhere and everlasting. I made myself look like a fool during the credits but I don't care.

Out of the 3 last movies I saw in theatres this is the second best.
Too be fair Alien Covenant was one of those 3 and it wasn't good.
Logan was the best though but this was really good.also.

I thought when I saw an interview with Chris Pratt explaining how the movie was better than the first-I thought he was just being sarcastic.

Wow I was wrong, it was amazing.
