Anyone who hates Anzac day is a fucking ungrateful scumbag. But i know that's not how you meant it. And i hear what you're saying.
I wish i could have had a chance to beat the shit out of those treacherous and traitorous ungrateful ANTIFA pricks that defaced that war memorial in Melbourne with their symbol and their "was is murder" garbage.
Stupid fucks not understanding that it was a world war that Australia was dragged and forced into and those soldiers died defending the freedom that those (and all of us) spoilt brats now enjoy.

I love and hate it.

I hate that people commit awful things. I hate that people lie and cheat, I hate that there are criminals who would literally take a life for a mobile phone or some other personal gain. I hate racists, homophobes, xenophobes, etc. Basically, I hate anything that is hateful or immoral, which is a little bit ironic.

But I absolutely love even more. I love the diversity and complexity of different people, I love books, I love it when it rains, I love that first sip of coffee each morning. Mostly it's the little things that make each day worth while. I love nature, animals, I love most things.

I hate what separates us, but I love what makes us different.

People who hate it are just terrible soldiers did good stuff for us i respect them for it i just don't like the whole "we are forcing you to give them respect via silence" i respect them in my own way i tend to just try hide around those times as i have a issue with people telling me what to do in regards to being silent.

I respect them i just don't believe in forcing people to pay respects infact i would go on with my opinions but it would offend some (i know a war vet who thought my opinions are fine but not everyone feels the same) lets say im just more of a remember and respect but move onwards kinda guy so i feel forcing people in schools and work etc to pay respects is just wrong even if they do deserve respect.

Not an opinion most like but it is mine

RE: ANZAC stuff

Of course we have to respect people who died in battle but it must be balanced with scepticism of our leaders who decide which conflicts we get involved in.

We get involved in overseas adventures primarily for the political and economic benefit of larger interest groups and not to 'defend democracy and freedom' -which is complete rubbish.

Truth is we are allied with the US which is trying to maintain status as the worlds only superpower and prevent potential rivals from developing -that means sabotaging countries and governments all over the world in line with their interests to maintain that position. Is there any other way to do it?

They say you should never watch sausages or foreign policy being made. That's probably good advice.

I feel very positive about the world we live in.

I think is probably because I love the life that I have, even though I know there are things that can be improved, those thing aren't an impediment for me to be happy.

But, I don't want you to think that I was just lucky, because that isn't true, I had to work and study hard to get where I am.

It's sad how much people are against innovating and expanding upon our current pool of science and technology.
It's sad that corporations forget they're run by people, and make business off the expense of others' well-beings.
It's sad that comedians are more newsworthy and reliable than 'real' journalists.
It's sad that it seems most people living in my country would rather live in a world of stupid people than pay 13$ towards public education.
It's sad that public education systems are f*ing terrible, and feels like it's nothing but an agenda to some people.
It's sad that people are stupid and many lock out any sort of moral compass just for the sheer sake of power, pride, or money.

The world is slowly moving in the right direction with some small steps back here and there. I feel confident that the world will keep getting a better place to live for more people in the future.

I'm definitely not buying into the whole "this generation sucks" or "WWIII incoming" stuff. We become more and more enlightened and more educated but it's a slow progress. baby steps.
