Let's face it, no matter how smart you are or how much your brain can grow, it is most likely limited to the structure of the brain. That, with a simple brain scan, or a sorting hat, will determine whether you end up in Griffyndor or Slithering. Yes, I've also heard of brain plasticity, but some people are just born smart, don't you agree?

Actually our brain does have a limit our intelligence can't grow forever without stop each person has their own point where further progress isn't possible.

Measuring this isn't really possible though but it's well known.
Not everyone can be Albert Einstein

Whilst not on individual intelligence here is a nice read for the whole of humanities intelligence
http://www.cs.virginia.edu/~robins/The_Limits_of_Intelligence.pdf

Our intelligence potential is based off of our brains structure and development that is a fact however we don't know how much the brain can grow although we do know different people have different limits

Each human brain is slightly different from the next

Every choice we make we are being placed into a similar minded group. Our SAT score, our school, our major, our hobbies all seems to mold and place us next to someone similar to us. Is it the society that shapes us, or our brain that makes us who we are? I was born not liking celery and I continue to not like it until this day. Will eating celery makes me like eating celery where my brain learns through brain plasticity? I really doubt it

We can't measure people's IQ with brain scans yet, that's why IQ tests still exist. Merely being able to make approximate predictions of what IQ scores someone will get from a brain scan is the cutting edge, let alone any deeper and more deterministic things like a full personality inventory that sorts people into Gryffindor or Slytherin

On which note, personality and intelligence are not at all closely related - the most closely correlated of the Big Five personality traits in psychometrics is Openness to Experience, which can actually be modified quite effectively with a good dose of psychedelics.

But if you're taking biological determinism that far, you don't really need brain scanning technology that doesn't exist yet, what about telling what kind of person someone is before their born? By, for example, judging based on the phenotypes of the parents, and more generally about their ancestors?

No, wait, somebody already tried that.

You can update your brains structure if your willing to. You just have to be willing to suffer massive headaches and sleep while its updating. I've had to do that many many times to get good at various things I had 0 skill in.

I see no point unless people are curious. Otherwise, who cares? Let people pursue whatever career they want.

Even if we could do this, measuring raw brain power doesn't tell you much about how good someone will be at a job. It also raises ethical concerns.

More importantly, in the real world nobody gives a shit about intelligence. Only what you accomplish matters.

But what about rebels like me. Those who value their ability to make their own choices, and not be forced to obey what others other then them tell them what to do?

Will I just be labeled as rebellious and immediately incarcerated for not wanting to play along? Will I be thrown into a position requiring free thinking and "outside the box" ideas, even if I hate the job?

IDK about you, but on one part, I like this. I hate the current process of getting a job. It's more complicated and stick up the arse then it needs to be. However, at the end, I'd rather do what I'm currently doing, instead of playing with the system.

Be an autistic bum on SSI writing stupid short stories, researching game development, developing contacts with artists and maybe using those things down the line as an independent career. I know, it's stupid, but it's my choice, my life.

THIS but one thing

FUCK ETHICS (in most cases)
Also i care about intelligence so some of us do mostly because talking to unintelligent people (to a degree when i say unintelligent i mean cannot grasp basic principles) is a drag.

I had to talk to someone once who said not everything in the universe is logical and other shit like that......i spent the whole hour pointing out logical contradictions in his arguments and just bad errors it was painful.

Please people intelligence is not needed but have SOME
