This may have come up before in 16 pages of posts but I'm not going to trawl through all of them to check. So here goes:

https://www.theguardian.com/media/2015/sep/21/ofcom-criticises-fox-news-for-calling-birmingham-no-go-zone-for-non-muslims

This story and the anchor's casual acceptance of it is why I never tust anything I hear has come from Fox News.

The companies of the news industry can no longer claim it is innocently seeking the truth as it's civic duty or moral mission. All sides have shown their hand a revealed their biases. First thing any sane person would ask when reading a story or report from any major news company is "What's your angle?". They are beyond redemption. All you can do now is consume all of it and speculate on what the truth is.

nothing is "fair and balanced" any more. CNN, once upon a time before fox news was invented was good, they weren't in that much competition and the likes. yet, here lately, it seems that even fox news has begun to cross the fake news (or those who start up fake stuff about a person to get them canned), you won't see that happening the left (however they tend to get themselves in trouble).

no news should run with a story before they are aware of facts, that begins a discredit. state what you know, don't make things up as you go along with the story and/or compare it to other situations. don't make up lies about where someone's hands were, lighting up skin color, forgetting to report period if it doesn't suit you, your agenda, your party, etc. and let's not run with stories that are so dead no one cares, not even the people involved.

on the other side, please stop reporting so much about the left, we're aware that you don't like them, there's no sense in treating them like trash, they can't help themselves, educate them, help them to thicken their skin, help them to understand a banana peel doesn't warrant a "safe space" and so forth.

I miss when news was just that, news, nothing fake, made over to suit the station/people, and it gets tiresome going to so many news outlets just to prove a story, or to find news in the first place. I could care less how insecure the left are, I'm more worried about what the president is up to and I don't care how much you like him or don't, and I want to know what the world is up to (and weather), but other than that I just don't care about your "opinions". more news less opinions.

Didn't want to make a new thread so I'll post it here.

Done 'fair and balanced' reporting from Fox News.

I don't watch a lot of national news lately-- beside the local news about accident here, robbery there, etc...

Chris Cuomo ? There are plenty of tweets/memes about this guy

Focused on Mueller's charges right now, mostly waiting for information regarding those.

I think the prohibition period probably started by the same self proclaimed experts

I think most of these people don't even know about--Operation Fast and Furious -- the Obama administration arming drug cartels??

Could you expand on this idea for me? It is very weasel-y as is, so I would like to hear you put it in more concrete terms before I get too far into responding to it.

PS: That representation of the ATF gunwalking scandal is more than a little misleading, but one thing at a time.

How is giving guns to drug cartels that are shooting at you misleading?
