I think the game is a huge improvement. Everything seems a lot better but the only down side Ive seen so far is that if you're not playing rank matches then you are stuck playing with people who use a lot of gear on non rank matches making the fights so boring and stale. Characters with gear do tons of damage.

I've never really been into fighting games, easily one of the genres I have the least experience in, but I must admit this game has peaked my interest as it looks really good. I'm tempted to order it tonight, would you recommend it?

You should if you're into story mode. Its really impressive. Theres tons of replay value too. It kinda has a loot system like overwatch for customization.

Haven't played it but I've watched a few hours of stream. I'm not a DC guy at all, but the story mode really is extremely impressive and the characters look amazing up close in cinematics. The gameplay, however, looks like typical NRS and that's an extreme turn off for me.

The combos feels easier to pull of than previous nether realm games but that might just be me.

I don't really do trophy hunts. I am more of a play the story give it back. but I think after watching the destiny 2 reveal... I suddenly have no interest in injustice 2 lol

Injustice 2 is an improvement over the first one, by far. Since it's a NeverRealm game, it still follows a similar method as others (like Mortal Kombat). It's hard for me to shake off that dark and gritty Mortal Kombat X feel from Injustice 2. There are some things they just got perfect (like the netcode) but there are other things that have left me feeling a bit disappointed overall. As someone who plays a lot of fighting games, I appreciate it and will continue to practice/improve - but, the storyline and some of the personalities of characters have caused me to feel a bit less connected to any of the characters (compared to when I read their comics).

I think it's still a good game and I'm simply trying to find something to criticize (as no game is perfect). For a fighting game, they did get a few things right (especially when looking at "Injustice: Gods Among Us") and they improved since then too.

If Redbox carries "Injustice 2", I'll rent it. I did like the first game, but my little brother loved the game more. The only time I play fighting games are story mode & play with folks who I know (playing with randoms are disaster waiting to happen & I'm NOT an pro in fighting games at all).

I bought the game last week and I have to say that it's pretty alright.

The story was OK, they really did improve the fighting mechanics and it seems much smoother and the gear system is a good addition. It basically adds a whole ton of customization to your characters. Although the only downside to me is how some of the characters from the last game (Sinestro, Raven, Solomon Grundy) were missing and were replaced with boring characters like Cheetah, Gorilla Grodd and a couple of others that I'm probably forgetting about. I also find the Multiverse to be very addictive, I find myself going back to it just to collect gear and see what other stuff I could get.

Overall, I'd say it's worth a buy if you're into fighting games. No game is perfect, but I'd say this is something that's worth looking into.
