There was New this morning happen in my hometown. A strange man was seen to carry a sword around.. He was reported earlier that he was carrying it! The New said that the man was robbing the bank with the sword!

Later on, I was told that the Man never did rob the bank, all he did was walk in with a sword.. and all suddenly the Bank teller close the window on him and call the police.. So now that he is in Jail, they have to let him go because there was nothing to charge him with. He never did rob the bank in the first place, its all because he was carrying the Sword! -_-;

I've thought about carrying the Katana with Stealth around the block.. Just that I wanted to carry around and withdraw the sword and swinging it around to do some workout while walking around the block.

But I wouldn't take it to public place, because that something people wouldn't do! XD Especially if that person is not well known in the area, they would think he might start swinging it around and attempt to kill them.

I understand the weapon Gun you can, because it'll be conceal. Noone would know you got it on you.

I was wondering if that man was watching to many Samurai movies or Anime? :p

I do not think that is how the reasoning for said law works. The argument of "What they do not know cannot hurt them" is not valid, because the action is largely the same. If you cannot have guns in a bank, the existence of the knowledge regarding it has no moral value in its argument, and perhaps legal repercussions, depending on the carry laws in the first place; same with swords.

That being said, waving a sword or a gun around should get you arrested pretty quickly, and I do not blame them. Waving means aggression, instability, careless, readiness to use at a moments notice, and should be addressed.

And yet countries are allowed to swing around their weapons all they want. God knows the Yanks, the Russians,and the Chinese have been doing it since the end of World War 2.

As a side note after reviewing the carry laws in my home town I found out I can openly carry a bloody claymore if I felt like it. Hell even sword canes are legal.

The man's got class.

I wish I can walk around with a sword, but people see it as wrong

What am I going to do? Cut people with it? I would just display it as something to showcase. I'm not fucking militia.

Just like I can always carry around a small concealed knife. Whatever

In Canada it is perfectly legal to carry around a sword in public. They don't fall under the prohibited weapons category and thus are under no ability beyond the intent clause that can apply to a pack of chewing gum if need be. I carry my swords openly to my HEMA club all the time and the worse that's happened to me was an officer asking if it was Oakeshott Type 12 blade.

Really? Canada is so unfair. You have the legal right to wave around a sharp sword freely in public like a lunatic, but when I whip out my dick and start helicoptering, I get arrested.
