Last few nights have been pretty bad but tonight it's unusable, every video I start is stopping randomly.

We should be compensated from when the service is this bad.

FYI - Everything else is working fine, bandwidth test shows everything is normal, other streaming services are fine including 4K video... Please sort it out.

Another night of anime randomly stopping, loving the quality service from CR.

Okay, found a solution for this.

Use a US proxy and everything seems fine, there are a few free ones available which seem to do the job, you also get US content as a bonus although that wasn't my intention

We shouldn't have to do this outside the US.

Please sort this out CR, this is stupid.

Have you done the change DNS and flushed it? Because if it works via your way it points to something closer to home eg your local akamai CDN is likely overloaded. Which crunchyroll can't do much about. It's akamai's equipment not crunchyrolls it can be weeks or months before akamai can fix it too.
Try rewinding the video 3 to 5 seconds when it stops and see if it will play to the end. If the doesn't the CDN you are connected to is likely overloaded.

That's still a CR problem, not mine.

Crunchyroll does not use Akamai any more. We use AWS for the most part currently. It is nigh impossible to overload our delivery.
If things are not buffering properly it is far more likely to be a local issue, e.g. other users on the same network using up bandwidth, or an issue between the user's home and Amazon's servers, e.g. bad routing or bandwidth issues on the ISP's end.

I see where you are coming from, but how is it that all these other streaming services don't have this issue. Why is that we have to change stuff ourselves to fix it when other websites we don't. Surely that means there is still some issue on CRs end.

We actually made a few changes for our Australian customers last week. You guys should have a much better streaming performance compared to before.

Sweet, I'll have to put it to the test and see how it goes in peak time as well.

Exactly, they can make whatever excuses they want, but it makes no sense that we can stream a 4K show from Netflix or Amazon with no issues at all but CR content pauses randomly without using a US proxy,

It's not even the case that steams can't keep up, it just randomly stops and won't load anything.

You are probably experiencing http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-991165/the-validation-causes-streams-to-just-stop . I've had the same thing happen this week. Hopefully this is an issue that can be fixed as it is very frustrating.
