Since you seem to be (or at least are presenting yourself that way) mentally challenged I will explain.

1.This is not good. The ice melting is bad for sea levels.
2.Oil is one of the things that is causing the problem in the first place,so,again, not good.
3.Even if Antarctica "thaws" out a bit,the condition is still to harsh for permanent settlements. Some scientist suggest that if global warming continues as is, only at the beginning of the 22nd century will parts start to become inhabitable.

ok lets take your best case(or worst case in this instance)

average temperature rises lets get a little extreme here and say a flat 32 degrees EVERYWHERE that would pretty much exterminate all glaciers, and despite several coastal areas being underwater Humanity would actually have significantly more desirable land to inhabit(northern Canada and Russia are huge and no one lives there because cold) Yes it would be expensive and unfortunate, but its not anything close to a world ending disaster it just means that over time certain currently undesirable real estate will become more desirable and vice versa.

Now when talking about climate change as a whole I have 2 problems with the alarmists:

Problem 1, saying "the science is settled" Because all science is settled . . . until it isn't. Also I think if the science was settled you would think at least ONE of their long term models would be accurate which I at least haven't heard of one that the predictions came true if you have one please let me know.

I am not saying I don't think humanity could be affecting the climate like they say, just haven't seen anyone present actual evidence that proves it long term. Additionally I have spoken to some ecologists(PHD and a student getting PHD in ecology) who claim that we are in a natural warming period that would be happening with or without humanity and its to be expected.

Problem 2. the solutions presented by climate alarmists tend to be in line with humanity is evil and should suffer I.E. basically stop using electricity/fossil fuels entirely or DOOM so we need to have the government save us from ourselves. The reality is nobody that says Oh man all this air needs is more car exhaust to really add some good feeling to breathing, also no one who says Man I wish more gas was being used so the price goes up.

No there is already a ton of market incentive to improve fuel economy and government regulations aren't going to help make that happen any faster, same with Solar and Wind power there is a ton of incentive for people to privately invest in them but when the government gets well Solyndra anyone?

Honestly I tend to want similar end results as what the alarmists claim they want, I don't like breathing crappy air and I love nature, I just don't think shouting that the world heating up is going to cause a repeat of Noah helps anyone.

Do you notice that it's always "approaching unstoppable collapse". You would think that after 30 years, it would be unstoppable already. However, every few months a new crisis pops up that can only be solved with a fat global climate tax. It makes me giggle every time I hear it.

There's a difference between science and positivism. Just an FYI in case anybody didn't know.

Why can't you all accept that you've sinned (polluted), and that science (the church) proves that the climate (God) is going to destroy (punish) us for our transgressions. Also the contradictory science prior to 10 years ago (the old testament) no longer applies because modern science (the new testament) has settled the argument. We all need to take action (pray) to combat the oncoming catastrophic climate change (apocalypse).

Damn science deniers (heretics).

It really is wonderful how people can conveniently just skirt science aside whenever reality doesn't line up with their ideology, isn't it.

Prove that the Earth was not going to warm up without humans.

Sure, I'll be glad to post more empirical scientific proof for liars to not read. It's always a good time seeing the hyper-partisan struggle.

I await your proof of Obama paying off multiple independent researchers around the globe to commit forgery. Don't worry, I can wait a while.

My favorite part of these threads is when the proud science-illiterates try to explain how science works.
