Bear in mind that if they deliver materials for a physical distributor, they normally deliver uncensored material. It's normally streaming-only overseas that they treat like the over-the-air broadcasts in Japan.

Bear in mind that Funimation released the Overlord Season 1 box set back in November of last year, so they licensed it well before the cross-distribution deal was signed ... it is pretty clear that anything that they licensed back then did not include Finland, even if it included the other Nordic countries.

The deal is helping with the territories of simulcasts this year and going ahead, but it can't change the territories of licenses that were already signed.

I lost count how many times I've begged (and yeah it's getting annoying for both us) but please get Steins;Gate and Prison School. Should've been high priority at the very beginning.

Even though I dislike the show, I'm surprised y'all haven't even gotten Code Geass which everyone is obsessed about....

Prison School..

The problem with Prison School is we've seen if Crunchyroll simulcasted the series in other regions they just "unlock" the stream for Funimation's regions so when we eventually get it /Prison-School will be censored.

Well, Lain, C-Control and Last Exile have. even on my to-watch list for a while now...

...and, as a Brit, looks like they'll remain there for the foreseeable future. I'd probably re-sub to Premium if they had them available over here.

Yes, I know technically there are ways around that but only the paid options tend to work with consoles. And he fact that I'm currently a free member is basically down to money issues and trying to save a few pounds here and there where I can. And the shows that are value for me still tend to be region locked,

So when can we expect these, and the rest of the titles to be available throughout Europe?

Throughout Europe? Probably never. Given the way that European rights have been sliced and diced over the years, given out in separated language areas and/or individual countries (when broadcast rights come into play), there is not likely to be any other collection of cross-Europe rights that is as large as what Crunchyroll already has.

In Europe? When a big European distributor with a big chunk of titles like this agrees to a cross-distribution deal similar to what Funimation agreed to. So ask Kaze or Kana or Peppermint or whomever when they are going to do that.

Serial experiment Lain is one of my favorite animes, it is trippy weird and has a wonderful plot. I am glad crunchyroll is carrying it even though it is so old. If you haven't seen it watch it now!
