Seen in many anime, the square ceiling light with the round fluorescent lightbulb, the pull-string switch and different lighting modes. I tried googling said light with many different phrasings, but only got general "Japanese styled" lighting decor.

Is there a name for this lighting that could narrow the search? Thanks you!

For reference, episode 6 of Alice & Zoroku featured one. Shoji itself is the traditional Japanese architecture and design, like the paper and wood room dividers or doors.

If you're trying to buy one you'll have to look in Japanese. You won't find it by searching in English.

Not sure where you live but the actual lighting mechanism I can go get at home depot. Only thing you would have to do is build/buy a custom frame around it to your taste
