IQ tests will never be perfect they are flawed but it is what it is that doesn't change the results of this research though at all.

Of course it doesn't change the result that's based on an oversimplified scheme.

Just wait until someone runs a statistical analysis on the relationship between these genes and human populations (i.e. races) and all hell will break loose.

but... but... we are all the same underneath and we all bleed red you.. you... nazi!. race is a social construct!

Race is a bit difficult to determine, but it is not the same as different species. Heck, even the issue of skin color is not an easy indicator. I think science has shied away from the issue more than it should, but an uneasy system of nurturing will naturally have adverse effects, instead of genetic factors exacerbating a detrimental environment. Genie, a child with presumed normal intelligence but who was locked up and tied down for the first 13 years of her life, is an example of an adverse environment on a person of normal intelligence.

My main problem is that most of these people already assumed the reason for the conclusion of racial IQ differences, when IQ tests are themselves not accurate measures of potential, that being genetic, despite not being scientists themselves. It is a lazy cop out used to denote why providing stabilization methods would be useless, or why welfare is in itself ineffective.

"When science doesn't match your insane marxist worldview so you change the definition of intelligence"

Earlier tests were crude by our standards. In any case, the definitions have changed, but mostly have been built upon from present research.

An average in this case is pretty non indicative, but a breakdown of personal functioning. Not sure why you are opposed to it.

Oh yeah, don't read the article or bother with anything it's saying because it must be "Marxist".

Gotcha.

Can we just appreciate how Boxer (as well as all the willfully ignorant who are in the ranks of the alt right) dismiss anything Bill Nye says that's science related because his degrees aren't specifically in the fields he touches on and yet they try to propagate the automatic distrust of Bill Nye by showing cartoons of scientists being sad about him speaking about science? I mean, that pic includes Galileo, who had even less degrees than Bill Nye and ended up being one of the most important scientists of all time?

I'm willing to appreciate how a whole lot of these schemes, including "IQ", are oversimplifications.

No. I wouldn't wish autism upon anyone--especially a child. My child does not need autism to be like myself.

Each to their own i guess i mean i'm the same for the most part the only time i would wish my child to be Autistic like me if it was EXACTLY the same severity as me where really i have benefited more then i have ever suffered.

But even then you don't get to pick that it's a WHEEEL OF FATE.

Indeed. In some cases--especially severe ones--it is better a person never pass on their genes. I, myself, likely should not reproduce...but I plan to do it anyway.

Make all the Autistic children! .....no?

Those autists gave us 4chan. You WILL NOT TAKE MY ENTERTAINMENT AWAY FROM ME! FITE ME! I'll meet you at the intersection of main st and 4th!
