My surname is the same as a famous horror character. That gives me plenty of trouble.

My name is so generic it's kind of meaningless. It's more annoying that people see glasses and assume "smart dude".

Likewise. My name is exceedingly normal to the point of being meaningless. Though I can remove my glasses and go from "Hey, this guy looks smart, we should ask him for directions!" to "Don't make eye contact, let him have his own seat on the bus".

Which is convenient. -.-

Mine's fairly average,

I believe there's some religious meaning behind it. But definitely not an out of the ordinary name in the place where I live.

Speaking of Glasses, I'm supposed to wear mine but still not used to them. Eventually though.

Yeah, glasses are great for obscuring dark circles under the eyes. Nothing quite like going out in public looking like a near-sighted villain from 60 minutes.

People assume I'm FOB, though I was born in Canada and my english is fine.

I worked exclusively third shift in a job that gave me PTSD. I don't know what my resting "on my way to work" face looked like but my glasses were the only thing that kept little old ladies from veering away from me on the sidewalk. >.>

I'm fine with my name. I mean, I guess my last name is kinda boring, but it's never bothered me or anything like that. If I have any problem with my name, it's that both my first and last names have to equally common spellings, so misspellings by other people aren't rare. Interestingly enough, I've never seen someone misspell both at the same time, including my grandfather (on my mother's side), who has had a history of misspelling both names. But that's never made me dislike my name or anything.

Which is probably for the best, considering my mother originally wanted to name me 'Wolfgang.'

I don't think anything of my name other than that it's common.

My name, i wouldnt say its common but its not abnormal.

My aunt, her parents wanted to name her Allison, but couldnt think of a good middle name to go with it, so they made Allison her middle name and chose a different first name so the flow sounded better and they just always called her by Allison.

I also do my best not to judge names but sometimes I gotta say "why name your kid that ?!" like that one chick from Say Yes to the Dress who was named Queen Precious-Jewel Earth Zabriskie. Like I get you want your kid to know you love them and they are unique, but you dont want them to be made fun of.
