I do have to wonder how the old dub would work for these series' since they are remastered.

I'm loving all of the Gundam series being added! I just wish it was some of the series that never saw official releases in the US. The only nice part is seeing the remastered editions in HD quality, but since I own most of these on DVD I'm kind of ambivalent. I would like to see the original series put on CR at some point soon, along with 0080 and 0083, and the other series in the Universal Century timeline.

I've got a question why are the episodes that were omitted in the remaster posted; and why are there only 47 of the 51 episodes posted?

Can you be more specific about what you are talking about?

Aside from the fact I see 48 episodes on the series page for Gundam Seed, the remastered version only has 48 episodes, as it omitted the recap episodes (and they didn't leave gaps in the numbers for omitted episodes). CR has the same number of episodes as both Bandai's own official GundamInfo website and Hulu.

i was watching episode 14 which is supposed to be one of the recap episodes and the first half matched the description of that episode with Le Creuset going on about the origins of the coordinators. so unless they mashed that recap into the 14th episode in the remaster idk whats going on. and the list of episodes i can find says that there are 51 episodes including the recap at 14 so even if you don't count it and the very last one your still 2 episodes short. and none of them are labled as being recaps or not included in the remaster.

why was the episode lacus strikes omitted?

14 & 26 were the recap episodes. "The Respective Solitudes" is the title of episode 14, which was the same title as the "old" episode 15. Episode 26 in the remaster is "Kira", which was episode 28 in the original version (28 -2 omitted recaps = 26).

It appears that the "old" episode 51 (""After Phase - Between the Stars") is omitted also. Apparently, this episode never aired in the US, and was not part of the original Japanese broadcast (although it was aired almost 6 months later) so perhaps Japan also felt it unnecessary. It may have also had content that would have not meshed with the continuity established in Destiny. If so, that would certainly explain its omission.

The original had 51 episodes. The remastered version omits 3, resulting in 48.

why was the episode lacus strikes omitted?

"Lacus Strikes" is episode 40 in the remastered version, and is clearly present here on CR:
