It's the era of propaganda

the left vs the right

I've seen too many videos of people screaming rape or assault when a person was doing nothing. So yes I want to see the video before making a decision and also I want to see it because it sounds hilarious.

So Gianforte won ~50% to his opponent's ~44%, and apologized for his treatment of the reporter.

"[Wednesday] night I made a mistake, and I took an action that I can't take back, and I'm not proud of what happened," Gianforte said. "I should not have responded in the way that I did, and for that I'm sorry.

"I should not have treated that reporter that way, and for that I'm sorry Mr. Ben Jacobs," the congressman-elect continued. "That's not the person I am, and that's not the way I'll lead in this state."

I doubt the event would have really lost him that many votes. For one, early voters would have already cast their votes and there were probably a lot of people who voted the next day before hearing about it and for another most of the republican base on cr seems more or less unphased by assault so many of his supporters probably don't care.

I have a hard time believe a relatively a small time politician would get the intrusive press coverage that is associated with the paparazzi, who among other things took topless photos of Kate Middleton while she was in a private pool, among others.

Just going to rant on a tangent, but celebrity scandal news is cancer, as it propagates behavior like what I mentioned.

I am sorry, but I do not see how anyone who follows these tabloids and these magazines and such that knowingly publish intimate photos, as well as "shameful photos" about Melania Trump, are worthy of my time. It is just slop to feed stupidity.

I do not oppose the coverage of our entertainers and such, they are the artists of their time, and I think they can be fascinating, but my hatred of celebrity scandal news is unmatched, as it is the paparazzi and such that make the subjects life so much harder, camping outside of schools just due to some relation.

I doubt it as the reporters can sue for much more than 100k+ lawyer fees.

I'm sure someone in the legal community will do a cost-to-benefit research on it.

Lmao, what the hell is going on in Montana... Fox News reporters were also there and have corroborated what happened. Apparently he just lunged at a guy who was asking difficult questions.

I guess this is what happens when you make the media 'enemy of state'. Violence against anyone who doesn't say what you wanna hear. I do have to say though, generalizations aside, if you have people who are getting to the point where they feel like they need to protect themselves from the media. Reason for it or not, you might have a media that isn't acting out of interest for the public. The media isn't supposed to agree with everything everyone does but I also don't think it should be actively trying to defame people for headlines and internet clicks.

We need to do something about how media is structured in society today because it doesn't seem like it is solving anything.

I'm not gonna protect the guy's actions. He's violent and clearly shouldn't be running for office but I also think that he isn't the only one who has shown sure signs of aggression towards the media. This probably will only get worse.

Wow Greg Gianforte is in his mid 50s and he body slammed some dude in his early 30s. Impressive for an old man. That's why you stay cordial. You never know when someone will get "triggered "and beat your ass, especially older people. They have little patience for modern rudeness. And the older they get the scarier they get. My dad at 76 pounded the crap out of a dude in his late 30's, then of course my dad was a three time Vietnam vet who was also a drill sergeant. I never talked back.
Did I use triggered correctly above?

Exactly! when a near 60 year old body slams a 30 year old most people think....Ooooohh that old man is tough, that would kill my back. Sorry but a 30 year old letting an old man work him over is laughable.
