It is refreshing to see that we can discuss this (mostly) calmly and honestly. I usually see too much useless screaming on these type of topics from both sides.

(I came to crunchyroll for the videos, and I am staying for the community. )

I am not necessarily opposed to the idea of an all women showing of any movie, provided that the men can also have their own showings for the movies they want to see by themselves. (As well as other groups.)

This is definitely an advertisement stunt. I just really hope that it doesn't mean that the movie sucks, as has been said. I have been waiting so long for a great movie with a strong feminine female and wasn't trying to prove her superiority to males or sleeping with half the characters to 'prove' something.

And as a personal preference, I would rather go to the movie with guys, because if it is good, I would love to discuss the movie with them, as hearing their perspective (and relief) as well. Something tells me that many of the women going to the all women showing, probably aren't looking for a wonder women who fights next to men but one who humiliates them. But perhaps I am stereotyping now.

I don't care. I'm not interested in the movie. I had a laugh when I first looked up Wonder woman's origins. Apparently she was supposed to be designed to appeal to feminists ideals. With a suit best for beach wear, high heels and bullet proof bracelets. Now ignoring fan service, what good is bullet proof bracelets when it covers the smallest surface area of a person? Is her bullet evasion dance that appealing? Now if they had magical bracelets that activated an invisible body bullet proof shield that would sound sensible.

I am not sure if they are going with this in the movie, but in the comics:

The 'wonder woman was always feminist!' is just an argument nerds came up with to justify early WW being some bondage fetishist's fantasy

The dance isn't that good. She needs more moves.

I honestly haven't been to a movie theater in over 20 years. I mean who goes to those rip off places anymore? I rather wait a few months and stream it for much cheaper in the comfort of my own home

True enough. Especially movie premieres. Wait a week and see if it sucks first. Especially if it's a DC movie. >.>
