One of my brothers called me a weeb, funny though, considering he likes Dragon Ball.

Remind the person who called me a weeb that Black weebs are objectively awesome. This is a known fact.

I'd feel sorry for their lack of awareness, a weeaboo has nothing to do with anime, and a person looks like a total fool when they misue the term.
A weeaboo is pretty much a non-Japanese person who does things that take Japan out of context, while in their own mind, they believe that it would somehow be enough to qualify them as being accepted among Japanese people.
For a few examples, if a non-Japanese person went to a bon festival in Japan, wearing something like this: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Black-Samurai-Adult-Halloween-Costume/26982864 Then they are acting like a weeaboo.
If a non-Japanese person dressed as a samurai on Halloween, they are not acting like a weeaboo.
If a non-Japanese person misuses Japanese terms and honorifics, in all the wrong ways for all the wrong reasons, they are acting like a weeaboo.
If a non-Japanese person is either interested or knowledgeable about Japan and it's cultures, they are not acting like a weeaboo.
This is not weeaboo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lvume0CKTF8
This is very weeaboo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuATxWGrkqs
It all comes down to context, if you are being respectful and knowledgeable, then the term does not apply. But if you are being ignorant and disrespectful, pretty much to the point that an actual Japanese person might find it cringeworthy, then you're behaving like one.

I find the people who actually get offended by that word, would also get upset over other mindless everyday insults.

There are many other different insults that could potentially cut deeper than just calling you a "Weeb", if you're implying that their trying to get under your skin. But i'd just brush it off, perhaps even laugh and then when their not looking or their busy i'll sneak into their house and kiss their daddy.

No, I am not a WEEB. WEEBs are the enemy of creation, because they ruin the fun of watching anime/reading manga.

Nobody calls me a weeaboo and I don't got an unhealthy obsession with Japan or anime like a lot of people here do. I feel sorry for older people who haven't been out of their Japanophilia phase. On a side note, I'm a cartoon enthusiast not an anime nerd.

The word has lost it's meaning becuase people seem to use it in a way it wasn't originally intended. So who cares

Bitch meant female dog and faggot meant a bundle of sticks originally, well as far back as we know.
