no way republicans allow a guy who cant be controlled to run their party again, and democrats should have a slam dunk if they campaign seriously this time (there were months hillary didnt say a thing to the media. easily the #1 reason she lost)

you'll have the right go like "what happened...?" while the left goes like "we got our country back" just like it was when obama won

and things will go the status quo because the new president wont be as polarizing

America kept Bush for 2 terms.
Yep Trump isn't going anywhere.

I don't think the Democrats are going to win. This past election prove what most people thought both are; cheating, lying, we know whats best for this country. I can see more views onto third parties. Independents and Libertarians, Green party. Green party I'm sure they are not going to win. They don't have the numbers. I can see the Independents winning.

Excerpt with Bush it was more in line of finishing on what he started with the "hunt". Trump however is already at a bad start. He is pissing people off left and right.

I said around the start only way Trump is leaving is if it gets Nixon bad. Which isn't that far off.
However America is pretty dumb or just not giving a shit for anything to happen.

Trump is giving us a lot of problems, but I honestly don't think Hillary would have been any better. She just kept spouting the same establishment rhetoric through her whole campaign. One thing both Bernie sanders and Donald trump shared, was that they both wanted to shake up the establishment, which I think is one of the reasons that contributed to tumps win.

That and the fact Hilary's whole campaign was "Vote for me because I'm not Trump."

I was just saying I wonder what would happen if it was Hillary and not trump. I think Hillary would be bad as well. The coverage would probably be a whole lot more positive though, haha

Let's be honest, Trump and Hillary are the fucking same.

Pandering idiots who can't not be seen doing something stupid every 5 minutes who flip flop constantly and would rather belittle their opponent than talk about how good they would be as prez.

I think it will be basically the same. People will continue to bicker over stupid shit while ignoring real problems. It'll be the same daily shuffle and no one will really care about anything.

I have to disagree.Tensions are really high right now, and you can see that in the violence that's erupting all over. The battle of Berkeley is an example.

theres 2 things that different about bush and Trump

#1 someone else said it but 9/11. 9/11 united this country in a way nothing in the past 30 years did or anything since (besides killing Osama bin Laden), and Bush was a big part on that unifying movement, with the 2 big wars. at least until 2004, it carried his popularity. which leads to 2. Trump will most likely never have a moment like that ever, or even if there was a 9/11 style event, i highly doubt trump would handle it in a way that Bush did

#2 Bush might have been highly incompetent, but he was in a way a likable guy. because he was so average, it was easy to project onto him because of his mediocrity. even to this day i think Bush is a bottom 10 president who made some horrible decisions; i dont hate him at all. just wish he was never president. Trump is a very unlikable guy who doesn't care about what someone else thinks. thats DESPITE his stances. the dude is the poster child of the rich and powerful. the dude who cares little of the small guy

and there is a 3rd thing. its not Howard Dean running against trump. Nothing a democrat can do will ever outdo trump ever in flamboyancy. the killer 'dean scream' is nothing compared to what trump has already done.

If Trump's popularity keeps declining at the current rate, the Democrats could have a real chance at regaining control of congress in next year's midterms. I'm not going to speculate on anything beyond that right now.
