Usless- 75% of what you learn in algebra II and Geometry.
False- Evolution(just stating a fact that it is still on theory status and not proven, no flaming please) The South never lost the Civil War, Pluto was a planet, and that they speak Spanish in Haiti.

I tutor math, and I only teach practical applications...I know a lot more, but I don't teach it...
Not only is evolution only a theory (one that can be disproven, but no one will listen), but relativity is also only a theory (if the theory is correct, then it can never be proven, because is based on an impossiblity...no disrespect to Einstein, luv the guy)...I thought they spoke french in Haiti...well, cajun.

What you find useful in school depends on what you want to do with your life, and how you approach it...School (pre uni) isn't there to teach you 'stuff', it is there to teach you how to learn. That is the primary life skill you take from school...if you look at it as a bunch of crud that you will never use again, and you can hardly wait to get out...then you are missing the point. It is also there to teach you that while there are things in life you don't like...sometimes you just have to suck it up and deal with it, especially if you need it, or can't get out of it. Basic truths, my friends. Sorry.

I agree with u that evolution is a theory, not all the parts may be entirely true, but it is practical for genetics and bio which is important. If u want evolution look at bacteria, their generations r 20 min to a few hours, so they evolve at disgusting rates as point mutations and other factors like an enviromental threats shape and scuplt their DNA. Thats why antiboitics like penecillin r not effective anymore is becuz morons use it for 3 days, feel better and stop using it and then the surviving bacteria is able to recover and gain characteristics (due to selective pressures ie the antiboitic selecting against the sensitive strains) that make them resistant to that antiboitic... evolution in more complex organisms takes millions of years because the time gap between generations is 10s of thousands of times longer than that of bacteria

think out it in another way, if there was no evolution, then there r no mutations therfore we would all be genetically identical, its these mutations that bring about genetic variability in the population, which gives a greater chance of survival for the species, thats why 9 in 10 ppl can die from ebola and 1/10 can survive, also factors such as enviroment can greatly influence a person's appearance, identical twins whose DNA is well, identical, but their heights and appearance can vary by quite a bit

I think some things i leaened in school r actually useful in daily life, but some things like philosophy r useless, read Immanuel Kant's Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals and then u will see why...
Another way to think about this is usefullness, gravity exists maybe not in the way we explain it, but if u fall out of a building and u cannot slow ur terminal velocity u will get crushed ^ ^

When I was in grade 1 my parents tried making me learn arabic (my mom taught the lady teaching it because she was new to the country and needed students...) anywho my teacher told me you spell the word "Good" as "God" and yelled at me for spelling it the right way saying its spelt G O D as in God because god is good. Little did I know that I would have a spelling test the next day in class. So the next day i was to right
Pierre is a good boy
and then right
Pierre est un bon garçon

so I wrote "Pierre est un bon garçon" But beside that I wrote "Pierre is a god boy" and my teacher told me I was stupid for spelling it that way.

Most of the stuff I've learned is going to be useless to me. However I will be able to engage in more conversations without looking like an idiot, probably the best thing about all we have to learn. The best rule I've learned from school is how a bureaucracy works and will screw over the folks at the bottom if you give them the chance. I've also learned that I will not be pursuing a career in physics.

Pretty much everything in Religious Education.

Our teacher gave up in the end, we watched films most of the time or she'd get the TV out the closit and put The Simpsons on, she said it was ok seeing as most of the episodes were about Flanders and the films had some terrorists in them so it was 'relevant'. Yeah right Miss, you just gave up coz we butchered your class like mini satanists.

I remember in elementary school, a teacher told my friend that popcorn was invented when a scientist accidentally shot a laser at a kernel
who the hell tells children this stuff?
