Intro to UCL [Courtesy of Bobland]:
The UEFA Champions League is an annual premier continental competition for European clubs. Only the best teams from each league qualify for this competition.
The Champions League Final determines the winner, it's basically the Super Bowl of European football.
Depending on how good a country's league is (this is determined by a coefficient, calculated over 5 years), a country can have between 5 to 1 (barring Liechtenstein, who have no national league system. Teams from Liechtenstein have to qualify from the Swiss league system) teams in the Champions League, and depending on the coefficient will enter at different rounds.
Before the main group stages, there are a series of playoff matches for the lower ranked teams. The weaker teams enter the competition first, and as the competition goes on stronger teams enter. Winners of the final playoff round enter the group stages of the Champions League, which is where the main stage begins.
Top two of each of the 4 team groups progress to the knockout stages of the Champions League. The knockout stages are two-legged, there is a home leg and an away leg. In case the aggregate scored is tied, whoever scored the most goals as the away team in the tie will progress (away goals rule). In case teams are ties on away goals as well, the match goes to extra time, and if needed penalties.
The Final is a one-legged affair, to take place in a neutral venue. This is considered as one of the world's biggest club football match. It is one of the biggest dreams for any footballer to win the Champions League Final.

Back from Hiatus
Madrid were good, Juve were really poor, and Ramos is a cunt who deserves a multi-match ban after this.
That goal from Manduzukic was awesome but it wasn't enough in the end. Ramos ruined the game with that act he sold to the ref but other than that it was a good match. Feel bad for Buffon though I felt he should've had won this one.
