Hi guys :)

Is Chakra in Naruto and Naruto Shippuden the same as the Chakra in Indian religions ?

Is it the same as this:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chakra

Or is it based on it ?

Or is it inspired by it ?

Or is it a parody of it ?

P.S: Just so you guys know, I asked this question on other forums but I thought I should ask here as

well to get more information about the subject.

It's based on it, clearly. Which is something that should be obvious from the name.

Obviously however, there are liberties taken, which is about typical of fiction. Thinking of how many pieces of fiction use "ki" or "chi" or whatever version is local, and twist the concept into ridiculous stories, that is pretty much the same thing.

By "there are liberties taken", do you mean that they change the concept of Chakara to fit the story and

characters in Naruto and Naruto Shippuden ?

The limits and abilities that Chakara give them is where the "liberties" were taken otherwise I'm sure if the extent of its use in the show were REAL we would all be doing it......
