When you're so religious that you can't let little bits of data move in celebration without getting stressed and picking up a data pitchfork.

That's some next level petty right there.

Step 1) Hamfistedly push sexual extremism on your customers
Step 2) Force them to stop doing business with you when they get pissed off
Step 3) Ban other customers and piss them off incidentally

My guess for step four: apologize while simultaneously posturing sanctimoniously. A possible step five is to double down on the extremism and denounce the people that stopped patronizing you because of it.

LGBT pride isn't sexual extremism you know.

I, and most people, would disagree. Actually, you could possibly even prove it mathematically. As far as the "T" goes, well, yeah, it's pretty extreme to be proud that you suffer a medically recognized mental illness. I mean, I can understand not being ashamed that you struggle with depression... but being proud that you have an ailment? That's just .... wacky.

Pride ... the most evil of the seven deadly sins.

First of all, depression can be cured in a variety of ways. Being gay can't, you have to live with it.

Secondly, nobody cares what a 2000 year old book written by goat herding flat-earthers says about pride.

While I don't like real life issues being hamfisted into media in an unnatural and intrusive way, this does sound like an innocent event, not like cynical propogand but more so like a nice gesture. While SJWs are annoying, Anti-SJWs can get easily triggered and get carried away sometimes. I fear a few bad experiences with politics in the past will cause people to riot over nothing the minute they see a spec of suspicion. This really isn't something to complain about.

Have you never been part of the gaming community? If the devs make any kind of political statement the player base gets pissy and opposes them at every turn. Most gamers don't want RL politics in their games.

To be fair it has a lot of valuable messages in it. It just shouldn't be taken as seriously as some people take it. And it certainly shouldn't be the basis for all decisions like people make it out to be.

Mostly because the obvious flawed reasoning that is supposed to be the word of god but breaks apart in a myriad of areas. Because, you know, it was written by humans...

I mean, children's books also have valuable lessons, but you don't see people citing passages out of those to justify something being wrong.

In the end the almighty church of benjimins will be the deciding factor. And generally pushing a non game political or social agenda in a pay to play game tends to cause a benjiminist backlash. As in they stop seeing benjimins.

Well good luck with this. People play games, watch sports, anime and such to avoid politics. Ask espn what happened to their subscribor rates after they injected politics in their commantary.

Honestly, if your reaction to anything is "dress like the KKK and march" you have a problem.

Jagex failed on this part but .....osrs developers aren't the smartest bunch i mean they make a good game but they are known for stupid decisions.

So is Runescape 3 developers but us players of Runescape 3 have given them enough shit that they wouldn't dare that and Shauny would most likely be like ...guys stop plz.

i mean you could just take that as the earth as a globe is fixed in space and time in the same space by their logic.
but seeing as the bible was written in times where saying the earth was round was enough to get you killed by religious people.......i'm gonna stick with the flat earth thing here...heh
