The bible says nothing about a flat Earth.

1 Chronicles 16:30: “He has fixed the earth firm, immovable.”
Psalm 93:1: “Thou hast fixed the earth immovable and firm ...”
Psalm 96:10: “He has fixed the earth firm, immovable ...”
Psalm 104:5: “Thou didst fix the earth on its foundation so that it never can be shaken.”
Isaiah 45:18: “...who made the earth and fashioned it, and himself fixed it fast...”

how does firm, immovable mean flat? The Earth is firm and its immovable by all of us. Scientists can confirm its solid and too heavy for us to move.

Keep in mind the bible was written in times where people said the earth was flat and you were punished if you said otherwise....

So you don't disagree with the other verses then?

The Greeks were highly confident the Earth was round in 350BC. Are you getting your knowledge of the past from hollywood and fiction or historic fact?

It took centuries for people to be punished for saying the Earth was flat and that was more of just the Catholic church abusing its power.

One of the best comes from Aristotle himself, who wrote a book called On the Heavens back in 340 B.C. The Greeks were a sea-faring culture, and sailed all over the Mediterranean. And they had noticed, Aristotle tells us, that the north star isn’t always in the same spot overhead.
The North Star

Now remember that all the stars seem to move in a big circle over our heads because the earth itself is spinning. The north star is the center of the circle, and stays put.

However, Aristotle noticed that when you are down south in Egypt, the north star is close to the horizon. When you are up north in Greece again, it’s high in the sky.
How Is That Possible, Since The North Star Is Supposed To Stay Put?

It’s possible, Aristotle concluded, only if the earth is round.

Think of it this way…When you are standing at the north pole, where is the north star? Directly overhead. Now place yourself at the equator. Where is the north star? Yep–it’s down on the horizon, because you have traveled along a curve. Go even farther south and you won’t be able to see it at all; the earth will hide it. Go farther north and it seems to rise higher and higher.

The Earth has a pretty good foundation and it doesn't deviate from it much. Gravity and centrifugal force is a pretty solid foundation that doesn't degrade over time. However those verses don't deal with a flat Earth so I didn't care to mention them.

Its strange when someone who doesn't even follow the bible is defending it...

As i said. Noone who plays these games gives two shits about relidion, politics or social justice. They pay to play to avoid these issues. I predict they will see a mass exodus of paying "whales" as every other game or service that is dependant on paid subscribors has. Espn is dying because they began injecting politics into their commantary. As one of those iap whales i can tell you nothing will guarentee i uninstall you like injecting that shit into my space.

The greeks sure but the main religion of greek was different from Christianity which im pretty sure is what he is on about.
I'm getting my information from History not hollywood or fiction.

IT was the catholic church abusing its power but it happened and people even before them were ridiculed.

No one believes the earth is flat (i hope) but ancient people did the greeks were just smarter then most in many fields but for a time Greek's did believe the world was flat until the classical era.

Did most of them believe it was flat? Or are you just assuming? I cannot say how common or uncommon it was at 0AD because I have a lack of proof one way or the other do you have some good proof? I know Greek scholars accepted it was round and their knowledge was absorbed into the Roman empire who conquered the Mediterranean including the areas that Jesus was born in. The question is if that knowledge was widely spread around 0AD. So people then knew it was round but how many is the question.

Keep real world issues/politics out of a virtual fantasy world. As far as the world of Runescape should be concerned there's no need for a Pride event. The response to the event was more than a little petty, but I suppose we wouldn't have heard a thing about it if the response wasn't as extreme as it was no?

Here here. I predict runescape will just loose paid subscribors and fold. Espn started loosing subscribors when they chose to inject political commentary because, shockingly, people watch sports to avoid politics. Common sence is apperently not common in silicon vally lmao.

Geez, and I thought the censor on ArcheAge's chat was fucked up. That is either some next level trolling or some coder is not doing his or her job.
