There are two types of people in this world. Those who have traveled through time and those who haven't. I just question "when" we will meet.

My future self told me that learning to travel backwards in time turned out to be pointless. I think he's an idiot and a liar though, so I'll tell him he's wrong once I manage to travel back in time to that moment.

Because it would be fascinating? Lots of people, including myself, go to museums just to see insights into other cultures or ages. Those museums are like a poor man's time traveling box. To actually see and experience how things were would be mind-blowing. I'm speaking mostly of traveling to the past. Of course, I also realize how terrifying it would be if the past were to change significantly. I'd rather such a technology not exist until we as a species become more "enlightened" (whatever that means).

I'm still not convinced that the humanly constructed concept of time can even be explained as easily as your scenario describes it.

What I'm counter-asking is why limit your thinking to these bullet points alone? This is all still theoretical concept, after all.

EDIT: As is most science, the pursuit of knowledge is already worth it to many.

Alright, the time traveling might not be completely logical. But don't you agree that someone with the technology should help someone without the technology out? If you discover the secret to immortality, would you share it with everyone else or would you keep it to yourself? I would share it. And let's not think about something too far apart, but us humans and the close aliens

P.S I would share it just so someone could build it for me. I am incompetent like that. But overall I think I'd share

The World is already overpopulated now no one can ever die?
Sharing Immortality is horrible.
If I could be eternally young and immortal I would only share it with the people I wanted to be with.

You share it so other people would share too. What one cannot complete you ask for the help of others

Good luck with that. I can't even find anyone to convince me space travel is worth it. "Because spaaaaaaaaaace" is the general consensus, and that's just stupid.

Think of space with alchemy, sounds good to me :D

Eventually we will outgrow the planet and need to be able to travel space to survive as a species if we don't start now when we need it, it will be too late.

Stars die and as a species we will need to move planets...

Spreading out through the galaxy is highly beneficial not only does it mean more reproduction and more resources it also means more advancements in technology and different cultures of course it has negatives also but there are many positives.

Is it really stupid to want to further the human race?

I was watching Stein's Gate . But time traveling would only matter to those that are traveling through time, in a pack.
