Gurren Lagann
Because Drills, giant robots, and fighting spirit
And they throw goddamn galaxies at each other
And because if I were to make a list of top 10 most badass characters ever, 5 of them would be from this show
And, on a more personal note, it drove home a singular message better than any other story I have ever experienced: Never Stop Moving Forward
Pierce the heavens

Code Geass:
Politics, Terrorism, and Giant Robots
And the main characters are the terrorists
From a philosophical perspective, it's about whether it is acceptable to defeat a greater evil with a lesser evil, especially when good cannot prevail, or is unlikely to.

Kinda difficult. Unless you don't mind 80's animation, I'll be hard pressed to convince anyone.

Yall should give Konosuba: gods gift to this wonderful world a try cause it is a hilarious parody of a typical fantasy adventure setting that keeps introducing new jokes along with reusing a few old ones at the perfect times, and explosions.

Before last weekend, I'd never heard of Sweetness and Lightning. Now it's one of my favorites, and you should watch it. Why?

Because it will heal your soul. Because all of the characters treat each other like human beings. Because it doesn't rely on cliches. Because all of the cooking tips are legit and actually work. Because the main character is a father who is not only present and actively engaged in caring for his child, it's his *reason for being.* Not a bad thing to watch.

And it will make you laugh, sometimes cry, and make you "awwww" a whole lot.

Oh, and you should read the manga, too. Same reasons.

In the current season, I'll recommend Gamers! The premise seems predictable: Average high school guy is recruited by the school idol who is reviving the school's gaming club. You know how this plays out. Except it doesn't.

I would say go watch Tokyo Ghoul but it's not available on Crunchyroll sooooo...
I guess watch Haikyu!! or Koruko no Basket (Koruko's basketball) they're both similar - focused on a pair of 2 people who don't get along well at first but end up complimenting each other in the sports and their bond grows as you progress through the series. They are great anime even for those who don't like many sports - LIKE MEEE!!

If we're doing pairs, I recommend Say I Love You and From Me to You. They start with the exact same premise (the ostracized girl is noticed by the popular guy) but play out somewhat differently. I think they're both great, but if you don't like one you should check out the other.

I didn't bother with talking. I just put on some Barakamon for a friend whilst I was cooking. I knew she'd like it. She sat and binge watched the whole series. Every so often I'd hear some laughing.

Barakamon is a great show. I got my wife to watch it.

Also Silver Spoon. I told her just watch the first episode. She liked it.

I'd be interested in a good 80s rec, I've only watched Armored Trooper Votoms but I've been meaning to try more.

Thank you. It's in the queue now. Sounds like my kind of thing.
