I'm mostly a console player. I have an insanely overpowered desktop; just never get around to using it since I'm already sitting in front of a computer for around 12 hours a day. That encourages me to spend some time on the sofa or recliner playing console games. Most of the mobile games are games the girlfriend wants my help on (like Clash Royale). It tends to be the scenario where she asks me to find the optimal combination of <cards, monsters, party members, whatever> based off of the numbers alone. I study/research, then play up to her level .. give a suggestion, the mobile game gets deleted and I carry on back to PC/Console. lol

Mobile gaming is off putting in both audience and games for me. There is far too much junk, and a great deal have micro transactions that simply shouldn't exist for what is essentially a flash game. As for audience, it seems subjected to fads that I find unwarranted. Pokemon was for the most part, already "mobile". Game Color, Game Boy Advance, the Nintendo DS and its variants, but the idea of ripping out all the core functions of the game and putting it on phone seems nonsensical. Of course, people bought it, and while I would not call Pokemon Go a shovelware, there is far too many bad games as there are bad apps, and the ones that are good just are not at a level you can compare to PC or definitely Console.

I actually find myself gaming on my phone more than anything else right now. Bleach Brave Souls is a really game even without have to spend any money to cool down times.

Consoles. Console (mainly Nintendo, but not exclusively so) have the vast majority of franchises I'm interested in. Also, the best thing for me is that I know if I buy a console, games are made uniformly for it. I don't have to spend a lot of money on PC parts to see if it will make the games run better only to have the game still not run the way I want because of something else stupid. Ugh. PC gaming is a pain in the rear. I like the ability for modding and custom content for games like The Sims 2 and 3, but otherwise I stay away from PC gaming. It's too much money and it's too much of a headache.

Mobile gaming can have its advantages. I don't think that a lot of games work on it due to it being purely touch-screen controls. However, I think games like Ace Attorney work very well on mobile. They could just move that series to purely mobile and I'd be happy. The great thing about mobile games is you have them everywhere! The F2P game market is pretty horrendous, though.

I was originally a PC gamer but now I play on console (wouldn't call myself a gamer anymore). the reasoning behind that is I used to play games like WoW and everquest as well as freemium mmo's which is a bad sandbox to get stuck in.
With the consoles I don't feel too engulfed in the game like I would a pc game so I don't spend those 4-5hours or more in a game because I just wanted to do "1 more mission"

To be entirely honest I don't play much games nowadays anyway, I will always buy new games just because I cant help myself but I play them for around 30minutes then it just goes to the collection to be played once in a blue moon. I guess I'm getting old
Regardless of that I still think all mobile games for tabs/phones are just this younger generations fad like crazy bones/gogo's or pogs (I think that's what those discs were called at least) and I'm fine with that ...well I'm just guessing but it seems that way

I switch between PC and consoles, because of exclusives and different benefits. PC is great for modding and emulating old games for consoles i no longer have, and other things. Consoles are easily portable and can easily be replaced or fixed, plus the exclusive AAA titles that aren't on PC.

It usually depends on my mood or what I'm doing at the time if I feel like playing a game.
