Hi everyone,

I don't know if this forum has already been created but I was wondering why CR doesn't have a section just for anime OAVs/movies?

I know that the Drama section doesn't really get updated and if I'm not mistaken, a new app was created just for the drama shows. Why can't they use that drama section and add the OAVs/movies?
There's alot that I would love to see but have no clue where to watch them and I love CR(and would prefer to pay than to search for free stuff).

Anyways, if anyone has any insight or comments, let me know.

Thank you!

I do not think they have heavily invested in movies requiring the presence of a tag I believe, which I believe is bollocks. I imagine OVAs are a special case as most are created to spur DVD sales of already aired anime, and with how licensing agreements are done, especially since Crunchyroll goes for the aired version rather than the usually uncensored DVD episodes.

I heard Oreimo had its OVAs on Crunchyroll, but they are long gone now.

Back to movies, I am not completely sure. Many of the more received ones do have licencors, even those that do not specialize in anime. Not sure about those connected to an existing series, such as Naruto or Conan.

CR had the ones for the second series (which CR simulcast) for a limited time. Thankfully, we were informed from the beginning those were a limited run.

Despite Aniplex adding the original series as a library title (it was originally part of ANN's short-lived foray into simulcasting), those were never made available anywhere I am aware of via legal streaming.
