I pretty much watch all genres from romance, comedy, action, drama, etc. And sometimes I go back and watch older shows I've never seen.

I will give most shows a chance if they're recommended to me. Sometimes a show will start off strong and I feel like I need to finish it just for a sense completion. I stopped doing that recently since it ends up being a waste of time if I lose interest halfway through.

yep. i usually stick to edgy shounen type anime. occasionally a comedy if it's good enough but i'm certainly not romance or slice of life. both of them bore me tbh and honestly romance shows/movies make me gag

I use to be, it was all mecha and manly anime for me. That changed when I join CR about 5 years ago and started watching different genres.

Hm, not too picky about what I watch. I enjoy most styles/genres as long as there's a story... I try not to judge a book (or vid promo in this case) by it's cover. I've been watching anime since the days when a VHS with a few episodes cost more than a full DVD set. XD

Most of the time I'm not. I avoid a few genres out of personal taste but as a whole I'll give most anime a shot.

Yes, I find it hard to stick with a show for more than a few episodes, if it doesn't catch my interest right away.

The only things I am not interested in are horror and mecha. I try to give most things a chance though.

I avoid anime with romance or drama genres. Harem anime without romance are ok with me as long as the guy acts like a guy. And I never watch any anime over 25 episodes. (Death Note being the only exception)

Yes anime has to have good characters, not just the MC... great plot, and most of all story. Most modern anime don't reach that level..

Has to have some action in it to keep me interested. Not a fan of slice of life. I'd rather watch an actual tv show where the characters move more than just their mouth's if I'm going to watch a show with no action.

I am a mainstream anime fan, I only drop a series after watching the first couple of episodes.

I wouldn't say I'm picky about anime but I do hold off on watching certain anime for awhile if I'm not in the mood for it. Like if I'm feeling down I'd much rather watch a romance/yuri/cute show as compared to something serious/action. But I do eventually get around to those anime its just I hold out on watching them for a bit.

Shows actually have to have a bit of respect for the audience for me. I can't stand shows that are made by the numbers. Shows that never change and have zero tension like DBZ are out because it becomes extremely boring or bland. Things have to make sense in their universe and not just be constant ass pulls from the writer. Basically I'll watch anything as long as it has an interesting story and tells it in a way that respects it's audience.

Some times I'll watch shows that bore me or that I hate like Naruto Shippuden simply because I watched Naruto when I was younger so I figured I may as well see it to the end. Currently only watching MHA so I can argue with a friend about it, I just think of it as watching a terrible movie because you have people to talk about it with(and I don't like to judge things I haven't personally watched). Takes a lot for me to actually drop a show, even if I dislike it. FairyTail is one of the few Anime/Regular shows I've ever actually fully dropped because I couldn't take anymore. Shares that spot with Supernatural for recent shows.

As far as Hentai goes as long as it's hot and I'm in the mood there are no wrong choices-insert Lenny face here-.
