No, I most certainly am not "listening". Nor do I particularly care.

This kid may be trolling but at the same time I remember reading something about how "some family members of his have ruined their lives through drugs" thus ALL DRUGS are horrible and have no value whatsoever to society.

That's just dumb to assume it was the drugs that fucked up anyone's life. Drugs are a tool to be used, not abused. PEOPLE fuck up their own lives, someday you will realize this.

During his campaign Trump promised to support medical marijuana at the federal level and to leave the issue of recreational marijuana to the states. So you will already have the president on board you just have to convince congress.

I think that promise went out the window when he hired Sessions.

Sessions job is enforce the laws made by congress not make his own laws.

Given the vast over saturation of opioid medicinal drugs prescribed on the market which do result in some cases with life affecting addictions, I see no problem with medicinal prescription of Marijuana.

I think we've had a heavy handed approach to this that congress as the proper governmental body should be addressing.

Tell him that. He personally asked Congress to let him prosecute medical marijuana dispensaries. He's already turned around Obama's policies on mandatory minimums and private prison use. Sessions is trying to kick the War on Drugs back into full throttle. There's also a staunch anti-marijuana guy at the head of the DEA at the moment.

I'm not sure you can count on Trump on this one since he added a caveat signing statement to Rohrabacher-Farr that lets him basically ignore it later if he doesn't like it. Though it would be politically stupid for him to do so. But when has that stopped him?

It's about time.

The War on Drugs has been lost for decades now, Deal With It.

There is growing research that indicates Medical M is a MORE effective and FAR safer painkiller for those suffering chronic illness than opiates.

Hell, if you are struggling with cancer, taking weed is the least of your problems...
