If you're hiding from ISIS etc I have to question the wisdom of taking a job that requires creating such a profile when a bug or adding the wrong person as a friend etc is all it takes to be exposed publicly.

Expect it to get worse as governments seem to be intent on demanding more quicker, and bugs are inevitable. Which means more low paid worker to moderate and probably double check whatever automated systems they put in place to cope with the load.

Is it just me, or did I read a few posts that we effectively "white knighting" FB, with one of them having the gall to hypocritically accuse someone else of grumpiness/pettiness? Dude... It's FB, not "the littlest cancer patient's" lemonade stand. It's really not worth the fervor.

In my opinion, the moderators can go **** Satan, as they have already ****** their boss and probably God too (As somebody hasn't charged into Facebook to protest the nonsense yet, which is a miracle). Why else would you explain the fact that there is a bunch of unsafe-for-teens BS on Facebook? Somebody gets cyberbullied and it doesn't get pulled down because it isn't against the rules. A pro-rape group too.

dot forget isis, lol

That is one thing that ISIS can ****.

What's wrong with defending people? Hmm? If someone is being accused of something wrongly, I will defend them. Also, there is nothing wrong with accusing anybody of wrong doing if I plainly see that someone is in the wrong. There is nothing inherently wrong with accusing and defending if you are in the right. If you are not in the right, then you would be a hypocrite.

Facebook has a lot of workers from different perspectives of life. It would be pretty hard keeping everyone in line. Mark Zuckerburg has to be a strong leader to keep everybody working together cohesively. I think he is doing a pretty good job at it given the circumstances.

Jumping down someone's throat and being an ass is not the action partaken by a good Samaritan, particularly when the attitude grossly exceeds the supposed offense. Defending is one thing; melodrama is another.

Like with everything in life, it only sucks when you make it suck. It's depends on your perspective, Mr. Grumpy.

I am so enlightened now. The years of abuse I suffered from my drunken father only sucked because I made them suck. Thank.

I receive reports of the hacking on Facebook and I can conclude that the hacking is conducted from a high level position on the company. The hacking targeted groups that are associated with a specific political alignment and the hacked account are used to support libertarian ideology in some way. A hacker is able to hacked into several accounts within a few days but they do not seem to be able to keep most of their hacked accounts. For some reason, the hackers do not always use the full authority of their hacked moderator accounts unless thay are desperate. If a user reveal strong evidence of the hacking within a Facebook group, the hackers can quickly hack into the moderator account of that group to censor the evidences and then process to either harass or ban the user who expose the hacking. In one extreme case, a few hackers is able to hack into the influential accounts of several related groups to bully a user who successfully invalidate all pro-Capitalist arguments.
