Where is the real support?

Might not be the place for this but there's no other choice anymore.

I've been waiting forever for support to reply, but all it seems is that CR only wants to see its
customers move onto vrv.

Not sure what I pay for, I'm hoping someone who has some actual authority to get support
moving will read this.

If not then its high time this community starts a real discussion on the lack of support here.
Is no one else tired of submitting ticket after ticket, day after day, week after week, an never
getting any reply?

I cannot be the only one whos tired of this.

Issues:

1: There always seems to be an issue with changing the desired payment method, be it a
card or paypal, this issue just never goes away.

For comparison - My status says free, but I can neither make a straight payment or "upgrade".
I'm constantly told that I'm either a premium member or that I have used a trial, an ergo am
not eligible.

So I tried to change cards, but I can't do that because it demands that the card is in use.. but
its been days now an the status is 100% canceled. Still, no way around it.


2: My Profile is nonexistent, no matter what url, mobile or not, these areas are inaccessible.

I had to attempt using this forum just to find the "set user name" page, why was this not
under settings like any other normal site??

What is this nonsense about needing points to publish this complaint? more ways to silence
the customers eh?!


3: Constantly being harassed to go to VRV.

Why? I pay to be here on this site, an given how many use this one there should be plenty of
revenue to see the demand thru. Either merge or start adding more support systems.

VRV has a bunch of bad reviews last I saw, an this place is bad enough, I don't need more
problems.

I don't even know who they are, infact to what I have seen with my friends no one else
knows them!

Might wanna work on brand exposure before throwing a name on the table.


4: Impossible to find english dubs, even though the anime(s) been out in the
US for years.


5: No means to suggest new anime to the site/network.

I will stop at 5, because customer support can't even handle one.

I'm only addressing the last two, since I'm not CR staff, I can't comment on the others.

CR has very few dubs. Their focus is on getting simulcasts available the same day as they air in Japan, and the only fast way to do that is subs. Dubs are made by other companies, who want to recover their very large investment to produce them, usually by disk sales. For instance, Sentai isn't going to let CR stream the dubs they create when they sell disk media instead. If you are mainly interested in dubs, then Funimation is the place to go for streaming. Even with the CR/Funi partnership, Funi is only bringing their subs here, and reserving the dubs for their own site, VRV, and disk sales.

Having said that, here is the list of all the dubs that CR does have: /forumtopic-788825/crs-english-dubbed-anime. If you aren't in the USA, then there won't be much there for you.

For suggestions as to what to add to the site, CR staff only reads those in the Premium member group (and never responds). I'll link the thread here, but without your subscription being active, you probably can't go there right now... /forumtopic-588949/what-seriesmoviedramamanga-would-you-like-to-see-on-cr

Even then, you can only suggest, not request something. They already bid on all the new shows that come out each season, but they don't win them all.

As for older/existing titles that were done airing some time ago, the licenses for those are difficult to obtain, since either they are already taken up by other companies, who don't want to give them up, or, in the case of shows not having been prior licensed for streaming, the production committees that originally controlled the licenses may not be associated anymore, so even if they are available, brand new licenses for older shows is very difficult to track down, and isn't even always possible.

You don't need the points for creating threads in the help forums, and if you get your subscription issues worked out, then you don't need them in the rest of the forums, either. It's so that spammers can't just create free accounts to post their drivel...

Seriously, how many of us were misled to think this would be the one stop shop?

Some of us expected this place to BE the netflix of anime, sub & dub not one or the other.

But fine.. you want to make the case that my premium+ doesn't pay enough to entice dubs
to come this way, ok then.. add some cash, lets talk about it. I pay $12 a month.

If we bring that up to say $15 maybe we can get to a point thats fair to the voice actors too?
Considering $1 goes a long way when you multiply that by the buyers.

Why would I even be interested? Because.. some anime just sounds better in english.
Berserk will be my example for now.

Lastly I was told by this site that I needed 500cr to post my complaint, then suddenly it was gone.

This is exactly the right place. The posting restriction does not apply on the help section.

1. You should be able to get back to premium via /premium_pick_plan?membership=premium.

2. It's under "Email & Password" in the main settings menu.

3. and 4. VRV is our service for dubs. It has a channel powered by Funimation, which has their dubs. If you are looking for dubs it's actually THE place for you to go.

5. We have a thread on the Premium only section of the forums in which you can suggest titles.

Like I told the guys from customer service that have an english reading comprehension problem.

Can't remove the card because:
"This payment method cannot be removed because it is currently being used to pay for your Premium Membership."

So I get told if I just go buy a subscription it will give me options to proceed/update/fix my situation, but then:
"Sorry, you are ineligible because you already had a free trial or are currently a Premium Member."

So they can't help, but someone else mentioned something about moving a gold crown by my payment methods,
problem with that is, mobile or pc viewing has none!

The site is not working as it should be when you factor in my complaints.

This place makes way too much money to be having broken features.

Any sort of database can become corrupt thats why offsite backups are done. My ISP said I had at any time 350 unread emails at any time even with a 0 inbox because there was a phantom -1 read email. They make billions of $ each year.

Try attempting to buy something from the Cr store. A gift membership for example http://www.crunchyroll.com/store/p/163389/Premium-Membership-Gift-One-Month Or one of the others. Because if there is a saved card or whatever it should be visible at check out as well as add another payment option.
You can redeem the gift memberships yourself as it's a code just like the 48hour membership codes. So don't worry if you accidentally buy one.

Question 2 are you currently being charged for a membership? When was the last billing date if any? Also did you sign up to a account via a console or roku type thing?

Don't assume people can't read they might see no saved card and that account is bugged in a part they have no access too. Meaning www.crunchyroll.com/nuke it start again and all should be happy. If you make a new account I would use gift memberships.

If you want dubs exclusively then.
Funimation.com or http://www.theanimenetwork.com/Watch-Anime/Category/Dubbed has dubs as those are owned by companies that make them. So if you want dubs go look at what each one offers. Theanimenetwork also has subs to.

Also note If a show is licensed by Sentai filmworks for example and they have chosen not to make a dub CR can't just make one on their behalf.
CR can only make dubs for shows it has full rights too. But the majority of those would be shorts ~5mins long or not very popular ones. If it's popular someone would have licensed it and given it to CR as a partial license.

Customer service already did their forced refresh & the issue persists.
As for them not seeing my data, uh what? they can see it to tell me when I'm wrong? but not to help? what?? just what a suggestion wow..

Penguin, I sense you wanted to help but got lost under the troll bridge.

I don't see or hear of my issues at netflix for example, but when I google my problem here I see plenty of listings.
So I like to think people have tried an failed to yeild a proper response.

It's like buying one of those new magnetic cables for your phone, which i did.
However someone came along just like you singing the same song about "complaints".

Different problem, similar situation.

They're ripping off their buyers with fakes & poor customer service.
In this case its a classic issue of bad/unfriendly website design with little care to give.
Or maybe just "too big to fix it".

It's still a new company that hasn't had the pleasure of a truly devoted unhappy customer yet.

As for my billing status, its been changed to cancelled, still the issue persists.

Never the less, your argument is invalid penguin.

My complaint stands, I should have 100% ease of use to manage my account.
No shenanigans about making temp gift accounts & nuking my account or whatever.

Just fix it.

More issues for mobile users, now on this forum.

Can only upload/add one picture at a time per post.
An even then it just throws some /crimg code line that yeilds no actual picture.

Or at the very least none that I can see in preview or after posting this.

Might wanna fix that too CR..

Can't backup my argument like this.
