So, do you ever just stay up real late knowing that you have to be somewhere the following day? Like you waste time at night watching shows or goofing off knowing you have plans the next day. Does anyone do this or not?

Because nighttime isn't for sleeping, it's for playing and having fun, right?

Just kidding.

Anyway, what do you think?

I sure do! Usually it's because I'm watching Crunchyroll or working on my podcast. I think if I go to sleep after this episode I can get 5 hours of sleep before work and then I watch another episode.

No, not at all. Unless, of course, you're saying that only 4 hours of sleep isn't standard.

Yep. If it's something big I may be a little anxious and can't sleep. Seems kinda childish, I know.

Yeah I do it every so often and I know I shouldn't because I regret it the next day in the morning >_>

Same, I do too, plus I usually just stay until I'm tired because I only need 4 hours of sleep!

I do it because It's how I get myself to sleep. Putting all my effort into staying up tires me out. The inverse leaves me awake all night.

Yes, I sometimes do this with early morning flights out of fear of oversleeping.

I do this all the time. Especially when I have something to do the next day.

I do this every night, and it's always worse on nights I gotta go to bed to get up for work in the morning. I always have to force myself to go to sleep, like it's a chore.

If i'm anxious for something the next day, be it a class presentation, a speech, etc I usually can't get any sleep and I end up staying up all night till I get the thing done. Then I come back and crash... Never fails...

Yeah i do it all the time. Iam probably the worst i've ever been at this currently. Iam more sensible in SOME ways than i was when i was young and i dont like to let people down and dont like it when people let me down(as far as being late to things or pulling out of plans) but yes, i sacrifice sleep alot.

Iam pretty much a total mess. I do not have any form of set sleep cycle at all. I've always been more of a night person yet i work a shift that is well and truely for a day person.
Pretty much every single day i manage to stay awake for a little while after work but then i nap. So as a result i end up staying up late every single week night.
Sometimes i lose track of time but i often will keep an eye on it and it's so easy to say "one more episode' or "now i'll watch an episode of this" or in a multi player gmae like Battlfield "one more round" or "one more beer" or i'll stop doing what iam doing and instead of going to bed i'll end up on face book or you tube or this forum or looking at porn or etc..

I try to be sensible on weekends but even then sometimes when i have to be somehwere in the morning or even lunch time i'll still stay up really late. It's worse when it's a combination of lack of sleep and drinking ^^;
