I have HiDive as well. It is a nice cheap secondary stream, has some titles I wanted to see that crunchyroll didn't have.

After the fall of Daisuki and Sentai selling itself out once already (to Anime Strike), I see no need to pay for yet another service, though I might change my mind if it starts sniping a bunch of exclusives (unlikely).

This is what I've been waiting for.

I'd prefer Roku (and maybe that's coming soon), but I can get by with iOS since I can AirPlay that to my TV at least.

ETA: So, yeah, actually visited the page. It does have Roku in the TV & Console category as "Coming in 2018." Which, well, could be soon, but has a lot of wiggle room for "not soon."

I won't pay until they have a FireTV app. I want to watch anme on my 40" screen...not a 6 inch screen

It took them about 6 months just to create the iOS and android apps

I'm glad Strike's demise means some wanted titles have fallen into (Prime members') reach. Unfortunately that just alerted me to the problems with Strike (why drop translation of signs & text messages in Just Because! in the last episode?!)

I'm testing HiDive, but it seems lackluster.

Jesus...HiDive Sucks...It is slow, lots of reloading, lots of not currently available messages, not really a lot of top notch anime...Legend of the Galactic heroes is why i signed up, and it is awesome (I have seen it before), but it only works about 50% of the time. I would recommend CR up our damn monthly fees and buy them out!!! They have made hundreds of Millions of dollars off us over the last few years, and they need to get their shit together and pony up some cash and buy HiDive, because it sucks, and CR does not....other then CR seems to be cheap bastards. Call ATT and that rich asshole who owns CR (since its not public) and ask them for some money to get more content.

Hi-Dive content is not what sucks, the webpage sucks.

HIDIVE is a mediocre 4$* a month streaming service that we all deserve because we complained so much that Anime Strike died.

*4$ is only for 1 stream at 720p. 5$ for 1080p and an additional dollar for a second simultaneous stream.

My issue is not with the cost, its that the service sucks. I would pay Crunchy roll 13$ a month if they bought hi-dive and actually expanded their damn library. Instead they just pocket our $$$. They make a shit ton of money off us, and they need to expand, instead they give us a few new shows a quarter. Get some of the old stuff CR!

I’ve been lucky enough to experience absolutely no issues with Hidive, other than their website not supporting AirPlay with subtitles. But their app does. I’ve actually had a lot more issues with CR not loading, freezing, or subtitles not working. And we all know CR is barely usable on weekends, especially Saturdays. Not to mention, they seem to be intent on being the last streaming site in existence to use Flash.

If Hidive can afford to fully embrace newer technologies, then CR should be able to as well. The insistence on using apps because of their reliance on Flash is one of the reasons why I cancelled, and I’m not going to subscribe again until they fix their mobile website. I’m getting very tired of websites forcing you to download their apps just to use basic features. I shouldn’t have to lug out my laptop to see if they’ve finally fixed their subtitles after all these years.

After they burned their bridges with Sentai, I can’t reallt see them buying Hidive. Ledford would probably never sell it to them, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see someone else nab it, or Sentai along with it. At least Hidive is in Beta and has some excuses for occasional glitches. CR has been around for years and still can’t get the act entirely together. Hell, even Amazon and Hidive have selectable subtitle color and options. Is it so hard for CR?

CR has been adding all kinds of older stuff lately We just got all of the old Tenchi Muyo series and Yu Yu Hakusho along with a bunch of other older shows

and they add more than 20 new shows each season, that's hardly "a few"

Had literally zero issues with HiDive and ive subbed since launch. Must be a American issue, i will say though its been a god send for me in the uk. A lot of stuff unavailable elsewhere, dubs and subs, uncut and even exclusive simulcasts.

Just waiting on console apps but despite being newest streamer on the scene its hard to argue you get a decent amount for the cheap sub price.
