So I realise there have probably been 1000 of these threads already, so apologies If i am breaking any rules or causing anyone to get upset.

I am just looking for some recommendations to anime shows you think I would like, and if possible, why?

What I have watched and enjoy:

- Naruto
- Naruto Shippuden
- Hunter x Hunter
- My Hero Academia
- Tokyo Ghoul
- Sword art online

and a few others....

My preference is where each character has their own abilities, that differ from the rest. For example in Hunter x Hunter, they all have their own aura abilites and traits.

I know there is bleach and one piece too, but seeing as they are quite long, I am saving those for a rainy day! :D

Thanks all!

if you're not looking for something too actiony Charlotte is really good, deadman wonderland, but i've heard the manga is way better, Grimgar of fantasy and ash is kinda a similar setting to SAO but without all the meta knowledge of the game, jojo's bizarre adventure, more specifically season 3 is what you're looking for, and maybe gurren lagann if you're looking for a mech show

I've marked titles that are available on CR in bold.

Similar to Sword Art Online:
Log Horizon - The premise (trapped in an MMO) is very similar to SAO. Lacks permadeath though.
Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash - Utilizes fantasy game mechanics, it's grittier than SAO, and there're more mysteries about the setting. Much slower paced and more character driven in comparison.

Similar to Naruto / Hunter x Hunter:
Yu Yu Hakusho - Similar shounen style anime. Tournament arc, unique powers, etc.
Fullmetal Alchemist / Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Considered a quintessential example of the shounen genre.

Similar to Tokyo Ghoul:
Parasyte - Similar premise: protagonist becoming a monster and struggling to retain some aspect of their humanity.
Ajin - I haven't personally seen it, but again: similar premise to Tokyo Ghoul.

if you like anime that is made back in 80's and 90's
DB series is really good.

Fairy Tail

My best recommendation based on what you listed and said you like. Every character is a magic user and specializes in their own type of magic.

One Punch Man
If you are looking for something shorter since Fairy Tail is quite long One Punch Man has a large collection of superheros that have unique powers despite the main gimmick of this show being in the title.
