One thing on my bucket list is to, in whole or part, write anime soundtracks. I have a full digital studio, and the current challenge is who I would contact. Other musicians collaborating would be great as well, and should be relatively easy with the internet and matching DAW being used. Anyone out there interested in this and / or know how this is done?

Better start that music and scoring learning.

I've got 2 guitars (6string drop C, 7string drop A) I want to join!

Regarding how to do stuff like this, I've heard of a website called "BandHub", essentially Skype but for musicians. I've never used it before (mostly because I've never had people to collaborate with), but the suggestion is there

Unfortunately, no. I don't have talent to make music.

Lots of training. I'm 28 now and I've been composing since I was 14.

I would highly recommend these tools first:

half decent computer
61-key m-audio keyboard
reason 9.5
usb cord
headphones
maybe a microphone

You are going to have a very very steep learning curve with music, but it's a fun journey if you want to take it. From my experience I can tell you that learning to identify and sing intervals, while boring, will help you almost more than any other single thing.

Playing and improvising on your keyboard (or piano if you have one) will be number 2. Music theory will be number 3, but most importantly you've gotta want to get better really really badly.

I'm interested in finding a musician to work with for scores for my webtoon, but I have no idea how to go about it...

Just have the people send stems, then it doesn't really matter what daw you use. And I've never collaborated with anyone. I make metal music personally. And idk how you'd go about making a soundtrack either. I don't have the tools to make electronic music
