Honestly, the reasons talk about Donald Trump is so pervasive are that he's President of the US now, no one expected him to be (even him), he's not especially good at it even if he's not the worst (which may be a blessing in disguise), and he has such a compulsive need for attention and discussion about him that he keeps doing things to get more of both. It's only natural.

We have a bunch of joke "conspiracies" about time traveling Trump, Pence, and Barron. People have come up with entire stories about it, it's hilarious: http://imgur.com/EVdeMRP?r

Though the DNC did kill Seth Rich for leaking the DNC files to wikileaks.

The 4chan flag tipped me off. That's item number one on the "Should I Start Out Taking This As A Joke?" list.

The information that was revealed is still of great importance no matter who leaked it and whether or not Rich was murdered, and since I don't know for certain whether Rich was murdered I tend to focus on what we know more concretely (the leaked information).

The need aspect applies to everyone else as well: we're taught to try to gain attention and validation through social media. So even if we're idiots with no actual idea what's going on, the democratic nature of the internet makes us identify ourselves with every little bit of every political battle. And we become recruits, needing friends to rally behind our meme banners as we launch other memes at the enemy. Even anime must become a field of battle. Really, Trump is everyone's president; he matches the national whininess perfectly. This is why my current mood is anti-individualist.

Also, I want this cute anime Trump girls vs. cute anime girls's soviet war to happen.

I want to be a communist space waifu now.

To some extent I think that's true, but Trump seems to take that otherwise fairly ordinary human impulse and turns it up to eleven. I honestly don't know anyone who talks themselves up so much, demands so much of the spotlight, and who aspires for quite as much validation as he does. It's all there in each of us, you're right. He just has more.

I mentioned this in the suggestion forum, but my theory is that the forum structure naturally supports these kinds of threads.

Any newly created topic gets pushed to the front, so "news stories" with clickbait political titles will always start at the top - like everything else.

But more than that, simply posting in a topic shoves it to the front as well, so if you start a hugely controversial topic likely to draw a lot of heated response (such as religion or politics), then it's also more likely to stay toward the top. These threads getting bumped also creates positive reinforcement incentives for the original posters.

In addition there's a minority of people who will both consistently create and consistently respond to these topics, causing a cycle of these threads frothing back up to the most visible positions.

Finally, the real kicker is that their presence annoys a silent group of people (I'm willing to consider it a majority, but I have no evidence of that, so I won't claim it outright), who eventually just say "screw it" and stop paying attention, which simultaneously reduces the chances of other topics being created or bumped, and makes the minority of people who perpetuate the threads seem proportionally larger than it is.

But that's just my opinion. Overall, I think this guy below gives a good explanation and advice.

Just do like the majority of the forum regulars at this point and ignore General Discussion. It's just become a place for an endless circular argument among like a dozen or so people all day, every day.

Crunchyroll forums used to have a different subforum called Extended Discussion that those sorts back and forth arguing people liked to hang out at. But the forums got merged two years ago.

Seth Rich was shot in the back by an unknown assailant in a single spot where there were no video cameras near by. They labeled it a mugging but nothing of his was stolen. An ambulance picked him up and they said he was awake and talking away on the ride to a hospital (hospital is unknown). The guy in the ambulance said he thought the guy would survive the shot easily. Seth Rich died at an unknown hospital and his autopsy results are being hidden. Police still mark it as a simple mugging and refuse to release any investigation data on it.

Facebook and Reddit have gone through the difficulty of removing all his posts from his Panda accounts for some odd reason. Something no company would normally bother doing.

If your interested you should look into it. It reeks just like the JFK assassination.

Oh - yes, of course. Trump is certainly at the head of the pack on this one.

Abandon ship, save yourself friend. There must have been some post on Stormfront or r_the_donald saying this place was ripe for the trolling.

A lot of alt right trolls try to take over any fandom they can get their hands on since they had no social life whatsoever. They thankfully getting kicked out of the furry and science fictionnfandom, but certain fandoms seem to be overly tolerant of some really intolerant people.

Your so delusional. I'm glad to know the left has learned nothing from this election so we can focus on cleaning out the swamp from the Republican party and make it respectable once again.
