This show begins airing on TV next Saturday, but it's out on streaming services in Japan, hence why it's out early. Now time to watch this.

Episode 1

Well, that was pretty unexciting what just went down there. So this whole Logicalist thing is taken to another world, but it's at a time of peace. So Lion is a princess and ran away from home in order to become a Logicalist, while Nina is already one but is still going to school. And after Lion goes crazy, they get soaked, and end up in the baths talking about their futures. I wasn't expecting much out of this, and certainly it's holding true to form with this just being another one of those shows that only cares about appeal.

Episode 1:

It was cute I guess? Lion and Belle stands out somewhat so far with their personality although a bit childish in some ways. The academy they attend is pretty much what you'll expect.

Visually, I think the show is an improvement compared to the previous Hina Logi series. Yayoi stands out the most imo so far with her personality, status, and look. Not impressed by the action yet I really hope that improves....

The comedy feels cringe, not really liking that part.

It wasn't the worst show I've ever seen but it definitely didn't give the strongest first impression with that episode.

I couldn't get into the original anime but this spinoff is good. It definitely appeals to my love of cute girls doing cute things and the humor is fine too. Will continue following.

Ep 1

After hearing the names Yukarin and Chloe, it is clear that this show takes place in the same world as the last years' Luck and Logic, and from the dialogue it seems to be one year after the events of the first series. Definitely a different tone than the original, which isn't actually a bad thing considering how mediocre it ended up. Not that I expect this to be the best of Summer by any stretch, but I didn't mind the first episode. Seems to be taking the CGDCT approach which is better than the weak action and melodrama of Luck and Logic. Character designs are nice too. I'm sure I'll enjoy it to a degree.

And since it's already confirmed that Yukarin is around and part of this world, I'd actually be pleased if she made an appearance at some point, even if it is just a cameo. She's pretty much the only character I can remember without looking up from the original, and I always felt that she was the singular standout character of the series. I'd be happy to see her again.

Episode 2

So Logic powers fade as the girls get older, and one of the teachers is not exactly feeling that way at 24. Lion forms a contract, and just doesn't realize how much training is needed to fully master her Logicist powers. And then there's Nina, who learned under Veronica from the original series, and is a student there. She ends up making friends on a hike. So pretty much, it's more of the same get-to-know as with the first episode. Pretty dull show this has been so far, and I guess I'll stick it out for one more episode before deciding for sure what to do.

I actually liked the second episode much better than the first. Maybe it seemed more focused on the whole cast and less on Lion. Not sure. The character designs on the transformations are pretty nice as well. Still not really mind blowing or anything, but solid stuff.

Oh, and that OP is great. The song is not amazing but the animation with the paper cut outs really did it for me.

Pacing feels...kinda slow?

Idk, I'm trying to like some of the characters like Lion and Nina so far but it's hard to convince me to. I'll give this show a few more episodes.

Both the animation and the song of the OP definitely make this an early contender for favourite OP of the season. I'll be continuing this for a while if only for that reason.

Looks like this will be my "guilty pleasure" anime this season. I have several issues with it overall, but still somewhat enjoying it.

No doubt whatsoever that this is more entertaining than "Luck & Logic" though. If you're on the fence about watching this because of how ugh that show was, don't be. It's a totally different thing and borrows heavily from many girly/school and magical girl shows.

That was alright having fun with each other. I love the OP, the ED isn't too shabby either.
