I live 6 blocks from the main "Cop shop" and I have Never driven more than eight or nine blocks without seeing a Police car. I think it's not too bad around here. If i Google and Bing some stuff . . . things seem alright.

Tacoma used to be considered a bit of a cesspool but that was over 20 years ago when I lived in the Puget Sound area.

The place is certainly more diverse than the "white-bread" community of Vancouver, Wa.... where I used to live.

Let's see, an upscale downtown Vancouver apartment building within a block of the ocean. Surrounded by other rich people dwellings, pretty damn safe I'd say..the other side of town not so much though.

Did bring up anything for where I live but pretty safe by NI standards. Fairly high standard residential area literally at the fence of our countries largest military base surrounded by army housing and Grammar Schools (fancy private stuff) within 2 miles of the cities police station, fire station and hospital.

If it wasn't for the occasional car theft or bomb scare* it would be pretty great.

*It's NI and near an army base. People try to blow that stuff up fairly regularly to the point locals have stopped caring.

Safe. Definitely on the side of where the actual criminals live and not where they conduct their business if you know what i mean.

Really safe, unless you need to walk across a street, or drive on the roads, or walk on a sidewalk.

This area has been built up from farmland for those who Work in the DC area within the past 15 years. Lots of suburbs. So I'd say its safe. Drive to the what we call the "golden mile" where everything was happening back in the day and its not so safe. I used to hang out there as a kid but after the constant robberies and even a few murders it went down hill rather quick.

When the temperature rises we usually have a good chunk of the police force looking for people in the neighborhood as swat vans stage at the entrances. Other than that it's nice and relatively quiet.

Bipolar would best describe it.

my part of Winnipeg is relatively safe... however if you walk out at night there is a 90% chance of multiple drivers yelling **** YOU! at you for absolutly no reason
