RX7, Subaru Legacy GT, and Toyota Supra TT.

no matter what exhaust you put on those cars, they still have a signature tone that can't be eliminated unless someone specifically tunes an exhaust for that purpose. Image

Ford old-school pushrod V8s - Mustang, 427 Cobra/GT-40
Other old-school American muscle-era big block V8 engine
Ferrari V12s
Lamborghini V12s

Honorable mentions include: Mazda turbo rotaries, Ferrari/Dino V6, WRC 4-bangers (other than screaming motorcycle inline 4s the ONLY good-sounding I4 engines IMO).

Why do we have to do some SERIOUS self exploring, based on our opinions?? I like the Honda VTEC motors based on me already being a F1 fan when VTEC was introduced in the late 80's If you knew Honda's F1 roots then you know why they sound like that,as well as why that sound is beautiful....Remember,those VTEC motors average 100hp per liter without a turbo. one of the first F1 technologies for the street.,and the first S2000 pushed 120hp per liter....R35 gtr just came out...this time next year you might have a different opinion.....But the shriek of a vtec is timeless 16 years and counting! id say 17 years counting the nsx but that wasnt available to everyone like the B and k series lumps
