vtec crossovers are...funny lol. its so ricer its not even funny. Id rather slap on a pair of vtec killer cams and just a constant stream of power instead of having to wait.
(i own a honda btw) Back on topic, my personal fav sounding motor would be this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1Z7ZlAQs5o NSX with ITB's or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aC9urhtFGmo this is for the realm of under 50K. |

VTEC is the troof. Other than it's intended purpose of increasing HP up top, it doesn't need to "engage harder" to make it sound badass. I facepalm every time I hear someone do that because it also ruins the smooth power deliver. |

Take a quick look at my post again. When I mentioned it was pointless, it was all sound related. What sounds bad to you may sound good to others. I do know what vtec was intended for, however I also know that it is also the reason for people not making as much power as they should. You should have know when I said I wouldnt delete vtec from my daily either |

You know what? I've always thought that there is no such thing as a bad-sound V8. There's sweet-sounding tiny-little 2.4L Formula One V8s, and then there's gigantic American and Australian V8s that sounds like beasts out of hell!
I'd like someone to disprove my theory, although I can't possibly imagine a V8, let alone any 8-cylinder, to sounds awful! |
