So here it is, Fred is still in Taiwan and working at Pou Chen as a software engineer writing webpages with c# with Visual Studio on textboxes, dropdownlists, those type of things.

If anything does happen to me that I quit, or get fired, from this job, which isn't the case as of now, I would be looking for a new job, preferably in the U.S.

So I ask the software engineers here on Crunchyroll whom I can contact if I go to the state and look for a software programming job.

Entry job is alright, anything above 50k a year I will take as a software engineer. I am a U.S citizen, and would not required a VISA.

Prefer to be on the west coast.

Keep in mind I have no intention of quitting my current job right now, so I am here to make friends, and get some names down. Trust me, if you leave your name here, I will try to find you, I stalk people as some of you know here on Crunchyroll

Thanks for your time

If that happens, just fucking go for it and work for Google. Or Apple. Or Amazon. Etc.
The number of tech giants (on the west coast specifically) is ridiculous. I'm guessing with experience you could get hired. Maybe.

Beyond that, I can't say much. Still in college in the East. I do know that a lot smaller cities in the southeast have manufacturing. Not software, but I'm sure they could use a software engineer for something. Every decent business now days has IT.

Agree, I probably would not be able to get into and work for tech giants. I did consider IT job for a pay of around 20 dollars an hour. Located in the Bay Area, San Francisco, California. But I still would like a full time paying job.

Well, I feel that it would be easier if I have someone to refer to for a job, but I'm not really that close to anyone on Crunchyroll. I'd consider getting a consultant that would get me into a job as well. If anyone has any experience on that I'd like to know.

As for you, since you're still in school, I'd recommend getting an internship. Thanks for the reply

And fortunately, I have had internships. I work as an On-Campus tutor and have had two internships. I'm pretty good there.

But I'd say you're selling yourself short if you think you can't into the tech giants. Granted, I don't know how good you are, but you could at least try. Maybe it'll work out. And applying is more or less free. the biggest problem would be paying rent in California while you don't have a job
